Our experience here was excellent. We dined on a Tuesday evening around 6pm, our party of 2 was seated no wait. Our server was friendly and timely in getting our drinks and appetizers right out. Brisket was super yummy we enjoyed trying the sauces provided on the table. A fun touch is the trivia cards to play together while you wait.

Got takeout, crab legs, crab cakes, fried fish, and some sides. Everything was pretty good, their hush puppies are one of my favorites and they definitely don’t disappoint here. Sides are small and Mac and cheese and fries were very bland. Fish was cooked well but also pretty under seasoned. Overall not a bad experience but wish a little more care was taken as far as execution goes. Tartar sauce was outstanding though !

I had one of the best meals of my life here! The Alaskan steam pot is a must order for anyone looking for crab legs in the Outer Banks area. Goodness gracious, just look at it! It’s fantastic! We will definitely be back when we’re down here again!

Make sure you take your own crab knife because they only had regular table knifes to pick crabs with, but eventually they found a “few” appropriate knifes. We ordered the jumbo crabs that were smaller than expected but they were full and good. As dining goes it was an average experience that leaves much room for improvement.

Love this place! Service was fabulous!!! Katie rocks! First time trying crab and she helped us crack it open and showed us what to eat and not to eat. Food was hot and yummy. And didn’t have a super fishy smell for us non sea food lovers. Thanks for the fabulous first experience!!!

My party of 5 was seated fifteen minutes before our time. The server was crazy fast and efficient. Food came out of the kitchen quickly. Everything from the fried shrimp to icy cold raw oysters was perfectly prepared. Fatcrabs was very casual, from rolls of paper towels to plastic forks instead of napkins and silverware. All efforts go into the preparation of fresh seafood and it’s yummy good!
