I have been going to Destino’s for over 50 years have never been treated rudely until today. I was placing my order with a large white woman at the register. I was ordering a sub for my wife, a small turkey without mayo. She was upset with me saying I wanted everything on the sub, just no mayo, only mustard. She couldn’t grasp this, she blathered out quickly all the things that normally come on a sub. I said I wanted all of that just no mayonnaise and with mustard. She sighed and scowled at me and told me, tell me what you want! I almost left at that point. My daughter said add lettuce and tomatoes, of course we missed a couple of the “normal” items. Then I saw her sneeze into her hand when she was handling food. There’s plenty of sub places in Gloucester that I can go to in the future!

Very cute sandwich counter with satisfying food. They feed you well with their concise menu. Loved the salad bar and kale soup with my haddock sandwich. They dont make you choose between fries or onion rings and offer both with their sandwiches.

I would say that Destino’s makes the best subs on the North Shore. From the fresh sub rolls to the excellent deli meats, and other tasty dishes. I’ve never had a bad meal at Destino’s.

Lots of great things to choose from and eat! If you happen to stay and eat, you get the privilege of experiencing the salad bar. Its definitely well worth it. Almost all their subs are great, including the tuna. Goodluck getting them to tell you how they make it. Ive been going there for 9 years, no luck. The soups of the day’s’ are awsome, especially the haddock chowder on fridays. Mmm Mmm good!! Now the staff on the other hand make your experience all the better… if your in the area take the time to stop by…. you wont regret it!!
