Ate here for the first time today. There was nothing that didn’t taste amazing. MOJO chicken plate, jerk chicken plate, rice, Mac and cheese and the banana plantains, corn bread, slaw, beans…I mean it was all great! Super friendly service, music playing in the background cool table settings, we can’t wait to go back.

Mojo chicken was amazing, so good with slaw and tostones. I wanted to stay longer as the vibe was so fun and staff was helpful. I did think the beef empanadas would be more like Jamaican patties, but they are clearly not labeled that way, so that’s on me.

My experience at Caribbean Roots was positive. The communication on social media was superb and there was plenty of parking. The outdoor setup was inviting and nicely shaded from the sun. The cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable and the young guy stayed busy making the plantain, tostones, and empanadas to order. The lady of the business was handling the main orders while the man of the business was making moves to get everything setup and in order (day 1) and running the grill (day 2).

What a gem of a place! We had an amazing meal. All the food is spectacular, and the owner and staff clearly care a lot about their craft and their clients. The jerk chicken was my favorite! I wish them lots of success! 10 stars!

The oxtails are Devine! My friend and I share each other’s meals. Thank God! The jerk is lacking. It was obvious on the first bite that it hadn’t been marinated. The surface flavor is delicious, but that’s where it ends. Poor execution. I’m from Chicago, so Caribbean Roots is a great bite after my hikes. Next time, I’m definitely getting some oxtails!

The service was excellent and the food was really good. I ordered the jerk rib tips, mac& chesse, Puerto Rican rice, cilantro coleslaw and a beef empanada. Prices are reasonable. I would definelty would go back there.
