Sadly the restaurant has fallen into disarray over the last year. The food is still very good, but the restaurant is dirty, dingy, and doesn’t look appetizing. There are butter / grease stains everywhere including the walls, the restrooms are disgusting, toilets are broken, the tables are covered in grease before you even sit down. Sadly won’t be coming back after a few years of going regularly.

A year ago Surfing Crab was amazing! The photo attached is my food in August 2022. Now I have to ask for extra sauce in my boil, and my boil was brought out on a recent trip with no sauce! The boils seem like they are cutting back on what’s given to the customers. Restaurant cleanliness has significantly went down, employees aren’t well groomed and offer average customer service. The food is still good, better than Smashing Crab, Hook & Reel & Red Hook. But this restaurant has really went down over the past year.

Great food and not much of a wait. They are kid friendly as well. Try their fried oyster po’ boys. They load them up and are very good. They have a good selection of seafood and alcoholic beverages. If you haven’t tried this place, give it a shot.

Emily at the bar was exceptional! Made us feel comfortable, was navigating tables in the bar area and all patrons at the bar! Didn’t miss a beat with taking care of anyone. Great prices on drinks , 6.00 margaritas!! Recommend the gentleman’s special boil, featured in pics! Took Food to go was excellent!

My family really enjoyed themselves and ate a variety of dishes! So based off their reactions, I’m sure it was all delicious! I have shellfish allergies and only had a Classic Cheeseburger! Gracie our hostess/waitress was very attentive and fast! Our food arrived hot!

Best crab I’ve had in a restaurant. They serve everything in here when it comes to seafood. Come hungry because you will leave full. Enjoy the crab and the lobster everything was well seasoned I’ll definitely be coming back

Oh man, where to start. First time being here and it was the best hands down seafood boil (for a restaurant) I have been to. The whole family tried the shrimp, crab and lobster boil and we straight up loved it. Shrimp, crab, potatoes, sausages and corn was on point, lobster was a hit or miss on some of our plates but overall delicious. I had the lemon pepper flavor seasoning and that was one of the best seasonings I had. Service was amazing. Definitely will be back here again.

Our waitress was great, the snow crab was yummy, and it was fast when it came to getting seated and getting our food. The big issue I had was the crawfish and the manager. When I got my crawfish and started taking off the heads, the meat was green. I know how crawfish should be and it should NOT be green. I told my waitress and she took the manager over to our table. He was not nice at all. He said that it was normal for the crawfish to be green and that I was fine. He explained how he eats it all the time and said that I was wrong to think that it was bad. I love seafood and with the bad crawfish and the management I will not be returning.
