So my son and I ate at hook and reel and really enjoyed it. Only issue we had was a very strange situation. I ordered a half pound of crab legs and a full pound of crawfish. When the food came out, they had put a full pound of crablegs in the bag. Since I didn’t order it and didn’t want to pay for food I didn’t order, I Informed the server. She said she would be right back…she spoke to someone I assume was thr manager and then came over with a plate and took a cluster of crab legs OFF MY PLATE. No I put them on the plate she brought but she then took them back into thr kitchen. Where they went or who they were served too…who knows.

Great sea faring ambiance. Very unique eating experience. Food tasted great, but I thought the portions were kinda small for the price. In the end our large group had way too much headache to divide the bill (apparently they can only do it 3-5 ways and the servers didn’t know that). They were super nice though, so the servers deserve four stars.

Pretty cheap, decent service – and that’s where it ends. Oysters tasted funky, almost spoiled, and we couldn’t finish them. We always get the same sauce and here it’s way too thick. The booth seating is extremely tight and upright prompting your to sit at 90 degrees or less; mind we all are of average stature & slenderish and it was super uncomfortable

My second time visiting here and the food was delicious I had the Shrimp Mini Boil add broccoli, side of wings and a watermelon margarita. My daughter had the Kids Tender meal. Finger licking good. I didn’t catch the server name but she was pleasant. Definitely my new favorite seafood spot. Will be back for more lol

I ordered a dozen blue shell crabs they only had nine they offered me a half pound of shrimp because they didn’t have everything to fulfill my order. When I got home, there was not a half a pound of shrimp. There was like 10 shrimp, and they had put potatoes and corn to make the bag heavier. 12 crabs were $45 a half, a dozen shrimp that I paid for was $12.50, and a shrimp ball boy was $15. The sauce that they put on the shrimp and the crabs was hooked in real household it was disgusting, and the crabs were very small. The shrimp had no taste to them. The people who took our order seem to be under the influence of something they are very unorganized, and it was very chaotic. It didn’t enjoy the food, the service, or the atmosphere. I just called to try to get my money back because I was not pleased with the service or the food they left me on hold for at least 30 minutes and the problem is still have not been resolved I would not recommend this place to anyone. I should have known when the waitress stated that when I asked her how the seafood was, she stated that she didn’t get her seafood from here. I’m very disappointed.

Wish I could give ten stars. We usually go to another seafood place Hook & Reel is so much better. Everything was so delicious My birthday coming up in a couple of weeks, going here for my takeout for sure. The 100.00+ dollars was worth every bite.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years and it’s always amazing. Highly recommend the build your own seafood boil and the wings (forgot to snap the photo until only one wing was left )! We always add extra potatoes and sausage and it’s sooo good. They also have great margs and happy hour deals! Get the seasoned garlic butter instead of the classic hook and reel seasoning you won’t regret it!

Most of our food was good. My sister’s crab legs were past used by date (they were sour). They took 10% off of one of our meals to compensate ($5.40). They brought us the right bill, but then charged me for the wrong amount. They were trying to just charge me the difference but it was the wrong amount again. I refused to give them my card until they fixed it.
