AMAZING classic Cuban sandwich! (Lucky number 13). Perfectly balanced tangy pickles, sweet mustard, and rich juicy pork. Be sure to try the toasty juicy fried plantains. Delicious food + friendly service in the heart of FOPO

In a city full of delicious food carts, you have to visit this amazing Cuban food cart. . The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous, we left satisfied but hungry for more.

Ropa Vieja and Picadillo were excellent. Best Cuban food in Portland. So much flavor and generous portions.

The Portland Mercado continues to offer a huge variety of options. Our most recent visit took on a Cuban theme at Havana Station. My pan con bistec was delightful – nicely sautéed onions and the steak cooked just right for the perfect amount of chew with the bread. My wife ordered the Cuban sandwich, and found it somewhat lacking in flavor, despite excellent pork, it was a bit light on the pickles and mustard that should make it more distinctive. All in all, just a little shy of top marks.

So delicious! We got the ropa vieja plate and chicken plate. Each one included salad, rice and beans, and sweet plantains. Great servings with enough for leftovers and such amazing flavor. I will be back! Best Cuban food I’ve have in Portland for sure.

Just ate here for the first time and it was exactly what I needed. Ordered the tostones rellenos and the beef was so juicy and delicious. The man who took my order was so nice lets everyone take their time and answers any questions they have. He helped a woman after me who was vegan and made sure she got what she wanted. Really impressed!

Some of the best food I have had in a long time. Got the Ropa Vieja today and it was incredible. Wonderfully spiced not greasy, not too heavy, the sauce on the cabbage was amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough!

It is amazing to me that my cultural heritage cookery has taken such an imbedding in the Portland Oregon area of all places! From Miami, Tampa, DC, New York, Chicago and even Phoenix has the chance to enjoy this cuisine. I’ve found that at least thirteen Cuban Food establishments exist here – having tried quite a few of them. Havana Station is magnificent. One of the unheralded gastronomic menus and recipes are derived within this unique yet extraordinary Caribbean comfort food style – no spicey heat mind you, but great use of the subtle, elegant, and enticing herbs and spices unique to the Antilles. I have had the privilege of savoring a few of Portland’s sampling of the Pearl of the Antilles cuisine! Havana Station ranks with the best of them so far. Our recent endeavor found us visiting their establishment at the Portland Mercado on Foster Road and we had no choice but to try them. So glad I did! Excellent! We had the opportunity to enjoy their Ropa Vieja preparation is on target traditional. Put together with white rice with perfectly seasoned frijoles negros took be back to my childhood. My wife had their fabulous Puerco Asado, delicioso! Everything came with a side salad and the must-have portion of tender and sweet platanos maduros. Ariel Cruzata (owner) a well-deserved Congratulations from a Compatriota! Viva comida Cubana! Buen provecho.

This place has some delicious Cuban sandwiches. When we came, they were pretty much slammed so it took a bit for us to get our food. The owner was very apologetic about it, which was nice as he recognized the wait time. The sandwich had a nice grill to the bread and the meat was pretty good. The side of plantain that came with it offered a good contrast to the savory sandwich. Overall, cool place top check out.

Extremely disappointed. I normally never leave negative reviews especially for small businesses but this was unacceptable. I don’t know if they felt I didn’t leave a good enough tip but went there today for Soup Festival and ordered the Caldosa De La Abuela. The picture which I am attaching looks delicious and full of meat and veggies. I received a bowl of broth with little piece of corn on the cob which I am attaching as well. Clearly this was either an act of revenge or a complete deliberate rip off. Either way I will never eat at this establishment and am canceling the payment with my CC company. They should be ashamed of themselves.
