Stop by with a party of five today and everyone loved the food. My wife and I both had the specials, steak and fish. All flavors were amazing. The only thing that I could criticize is my medium steak was well done but still juicy tender and delicious. Was a bit pricey for four people and a 4-year-old at lunch time. A little over $90.

Great food – upscale country cafe. The ‘pork chop’ special is awesome.

We stumbled upon this cafe by chance when we were out sight seeing in St. Francisville and we’re searching for somewhere new to eat. It was a tad bit hard to find as it it tucked away behind a little shop of some kind of the road. But once you find it, you’ll be glad you did. First off, do not wear heels! The parking area is all rocks and I almost broke my ankle lol! This adorable little restaurant draws you in immediately with it’s quaintness. On the outside of the restaurant, to the left, are a bunch of tiny little cabins lined up in a row that reminded me SO MUCH of the movie Big Fish! (When the main characters stumbles upon the hidden village on the other side of the dark and scary woods? The town that time forgot.) All it needs is the white Christmas light strands complete with tied shoes thrown over them and it really is like a scene out of the movie! Apparently, they also rent out these cabins for holiday! I’ll check them out at some point and let y’all know! The cafe looks small from the outside and you are greeted with a great big smile from the friendly Wilbur-ish Pig at the entrance ramp. Inside however, this is place is huge! It was quite busy when we went so we opted to eat outside on the dining porch area. It was very open, and there were a lot of people and families there. They have a band area and there are flyers all over the place with info on what events and bands are playing there and when. The table we got was a bit tricky, we are a large group and some of the kids couldn’t quite reach the table, but we made it work. The food is a bit pricey, but it was decent. Our particular server was obviously busy, but she kept the drinks coming, and was friendly enough. Two of the other servers, Mary and Jenny, were incredibly nice and friendly, and chatted with us and the kiddos. Honestly, I can’t remember exactly what I ordered, but the overall consensus from the family was that it was good, but a bit pricey. The atmosphere is what was best. It has a bat area inside and several clean bathrooms. As I said, it was super busy so their were people flying around everywhere, but the food came in a reasonable time. All in all, I’d say definitely check it out! And make sure to take a walk next door to get a feel of the Big Fish ambience!

Had not been in here in 7 years and saw many folks we knew. Sandwiches are great, seating is packed on weekends. All-in-all it is a great place to eat and visit with friends while you are in St. Francisville.

The food was great! It is a bit small in the restaurant, but the atmosphere still gives it that southern flare! You should definitely stop here on your next St. Francisville adventure!

The Magnolia Cafe never disappoints. Although the menu seems to have changed just a bit, the sensation salad is as good as I remember. Quite a few more sandwiches on the menu. Started out with spinach and artichoke dip/chips. Yum! Had the chicken mag with sliced chicken breast, avocados, alfalfa sprouts tucked in a pita pocket. The pita was crisp, not soft like a taco. It usually comes on an onion roll, but if you get half soup/half salad, the onion roll isn’t an option. Comes with a pickle. All was very good. Wait was short, service was fast and attentive.

I stopped in at the advice of the Myrtle’s manager. I ordered Gator Bites and the Magnolia Chicken Sandwhich. The sandwich came with roasted chicken, tomato, avacado, lettuce and other seasonal greens with a nice sandwich sauce that I couldn’t make out. (I also didn’t read the menu but asked the server what her favorite sandwich was). The Gator bites were perfect and the sandwich was refreshing on this 102 degree day. It was like a salad on an Onion Ciabatta Roll. If you ever stop in St. Francisville, this reasonably priced treasure is a must-do for a simple lunch.

This was my first time eating here and it was delicious. I had the special, baked chicken, broccoli casserole, and sensation salad. My husband had a grilled shrimp poboy with sweet potato fries. I didn’t get enough sensation salad so I ordered a small salad. It was really good. If I’m in the area again I will come back.

Quaint place. Very friendly staff. I had the crawfish dip with toasted baguette. Very good and a Lil spicy. The desserts look great. I’ll be back.
