Tastee Treat is a 60+ year old drive in restaurant that is a BA staple. The business was a dream come true for owner Steve Thesenvitz. He has been in the restaurant/cafe business all his life.
“I was 27-years-old and it was for sale,” Steve recalled. “I went into First National Bank to get a loan.” Many food places barely make it five years. Steve was just 27 and asking for a loan. The bank granted Steve’s request and believed in him. “We have the best burgers around,” he said proudly. “And, the best biscuits and gravy.”
Tastee Treat’s owner sees more than great food. “It’s burgers and breakfast, but also relationships,” Steve said. “Knowing your customers is good for them and good for us.”

Had breakfast here. Everything was cooked well but the hash browns were not quite cooked enough but they a really good taste. The biscuits were big and fluffy definitely home made as is the gravy which could be a meal itself. This place has a hometown vibe. I will go back

Finally decided to give this place a try and I love it! Service is friendly, nice, and extremely informative on what they offer and at what times. I ordered the jumbo burger with onion rings and every bite was very flavorful and impactful. Burger was super juicy and the onion rings were delicious. Ill be back for sure!

Disappointed in breakfast. Bacon was cold , hash browns tasted old and hard and chewy. Only thing freshly cooked was the eggs. Toast was only browned on one side. Came here because it’s usually very good. Such a shame.
