This place was amazing. One of those locations hidden off the main road. Probably one of the best restaurant experiences in my life. The BBQ hamburger was absolutely amazing cooked to perfection and my wife had the steak gyro. The steak was so tender and the sandwich was delicious. The music was just loud enough but not too loud that let us talk without yelling at each other. The service could not have been any better. Thank you and we will be back. Told friends on Facebook as well.

The food was just awful. And, when you don’t eat your meal and complain, you still have to pay. No apologies, or can I offer you a complimentary dessert. Nope. Been here before, from Vermont, the food was okay. The only reason why I won’t come back again is the poor tasting food.

The salmon was absolutely phenomenal.. like I ate every bite because I was unable to stop. We had the maple siracha wings which were perfect. The chocolate decadence was also delicious. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable!! Megan was very personable and we can’t wait to come back! 🙂

The bar has a great local feel and the food is delicious. The angry burger was fantastic. My wife has celiac disease and she was able to eat her own wings and French fries! She hasn’t had chicken wings in years. We highly recommend this place!

The food, service and atmosphere are great. I only wish the menu was a little more extensive. A filet mignon, stuffed shrimp, chicken teriyaki dishes on the menu would be great. Also, I wish the server would mention the specials. Excellent restaurant. The bar is very slow for table service, the wait for a drink is like 15 or 20 minutes.

Came in and understood that they were busy stood there waiting for someone to see us for over 10 mins as we sat we were not greeted by our waiter for almost 15 mins and another 15-20 mins before we received our drink and at that point everyone was yelling and getting louder in such a small room to the point you couldn’t hear the person in-front of you I understand that there nothing someone can do in that situation but along the side we told our server we wouldn’t be ordering food and will only be getting the drinks so we could just get the heck out of there. she helped everyone else as my husband tried to wave her down for almost 30 mins to get the check she would look at him and then turn around and walk away and we still never received the check we ending up throwing more than enough onto the table and leaving.I’ve never had an experience like this in my entire life and hope that I never do I really wish they would give a zero rating but they don’t.

No matter where Doug is or what he’s doing, the food is always great. Kitchen 56 is super cute, good atmosphere, and welcoming as you come in. I highly recommend getting the chocolate decadence (a Doug specialty)… Even if you don’t eat it there, get it to go for later. You won’t regret it.

We are semi regulars and have never had a bad meal here . Everything is delicious, the staff is wonderful (they almost always bring our 3 yr old a little plate of fries to keep him busy while we wait for our food), and the desserts are to die for – shout out to the carrot cake. They have somehow kept their prices reasonable even in this economy (especially for how tasty it all is!), so it’s an all around great experience! 10/10 recommend.

Great ambience in a historic building. Service was extremely friendly and good. Had the meatloaf dinner and it was best meatloaf I have EVER had. Chocolate mousse desert was amazing. Terrific little place in old downtown Enfield!
