We have supported this business for a long, long time and boy the food is amazing. We live close by and every time I’m in town I must stop by. That day I was craving griot (fried pork) and their perfectly fried green plantains. The fried snapper is great. It’s seasoned to perfection, but everything there is really. However, be warned that the fish is pricey. Come for the food and not the service.. The restaurant was under construction, so be ready for added wait time.

I feel like they probably the best legume I’ve ever tasted. I tried the Tassot Cabrit and my friend got the Turkey and both dishes were delicious. Can’t wait to try other dishes like the fish. I saw at least 5 people order the Fish so that’s what I’m getting next since it’s so popular

I have enjoyed eating at Macillon Grio Fish & Chicken for many years. I even continued to be a loyal customer after the service and food quality took a dump because their Okland Park location was serving top quality food. However, after today I am officially done. I ordered two dishes: *$30 fish with fried plantain, rice and peas, *sauté chicken, fried plantain, rice and peas. To my surprise the chicken was room temperature cold, the rice had too many cloves, which created a bitter taste; the plantain appeared to have been soaked in water and microwaved. I reach out to the restaurant and spoke with the owners wife, she apologized, provided an explanation, however did not offer a solution nor a credit. It was bad all around. $48 down the drain. I threw away the food. I feel bad throwing away food, knowing that others are without. Good luck, eating there.

These Haitians are terrible! The restaurant was empty this afternoon, and I said hello, no body responded, while 3 people were in the front. The lady in particular, in a red shirt, this Tuesday afternoon of May 16,2023,at 3:30 p. m. or so, was so rude! I went to pick up an UberEATS order, she had the worst attitude, she did not say a word and seemed like she did not want to be there at all. My Jamaicans are not the best with attitudes, but we have more class than these Haitians. I knew this restaurant was going to have a tense, unwelcoming atmosphere when I went there. This usually happens when I go to Haitian restaurants. They’re just so weird and give you blank stares, like they cannot talk. This is very common in a lot of Carribbean women. The men are usually ok. Will not be coming back here.

I Love griot, this was the worst griot I’ve ever eaten in all my years eating it!! It was not fresh I got another opinion from a haitian woman and she confirmed it was old plus it was dry hard to chew and not one piece had any fat on it The plantains were good with a nice texture firm not mushy. Piklez was spicy as needed and did it’s job but the griot gets no love
