I wanted to love this place so badly!! The wait for Din Tai Fung was way too long in the mall, so my boyfriend and I decided to eat here instead- just downstairs, especially after seeing that it was recommended in the Michelin guide as posted out front of the restaurant.

You order using an app (my sister already had it downloaded). SCP offers free wifi if you need to download it. I ordered maple tofu noodles and spicy fungi. The former had a simmering heat to it. The latter was sour & yet refreshing. I think I prefer mapo tofu with rice though so the rice can soak up all the goodness. I took a chance on the mung bean smoothie- too watery and no flavor. My sister ordered the spicy beef noodle soup and chili pork wontons- both look tasty! Though personally, I’d want my dumplings to be bathing in the chili sauce, not separated. I probably wouldn’t come back bc there’s not a lot of vegetarian options. Would be awesome if they had meat-free dumplings or spicy noodle soup with more veggies. Was grateful I got to try it out. Wish they would have regular reusable cups for water instead of plastic.

Been wanting to try this place for a while. Headed in on a Sunday night and was seated right away at the bar table. Everything looked delicious through QR code menu on my phone, I ordered Chengdu ZaJiang noodles and red bean milk tea as drink. The milk tea drink was good, though didn’t come with boba in my drink. I was in a hurry so didn’t ask if that’s extra. The noodle dish had really tasty sauces and ingredients, however it came surprisingly small portion for $15 and the noodles itself were super soft and sticky. I would come back and try others on the menu but would not order the same noodles again.

Nice idea for a restaurant but poor management brings experience down. You order on your phone and staff bring your food. Not much attention is paid to the presentation and dishes looked like a dog’s dinner. Items did not come out at the same time with one person being completely done, before the other food arrived. Complained, the waiter made up some kind of excuse about ‘This is how it is done in China.’ and then continued to argued with me. Better choices exist, suggest you avoid.

Great service, the waitress was very attentive with us. There were 6 of us and one toddler, they even offered to bring us ice etc. We ordered directly from the website and the food arrived quickly. I didn’t take a lot of pictures of the other food that we ordered, however the friend chicken with skin was delicious, same with the brow suger sticky rice. The sesame cloud cookie had a texture of chocolate, the sugar was very subtle. Overall, the food was great!

I won’t be back to this restaurant anytime. Be ready to drink plenty of water after. We find there is too much MSG in the noodles bowl. The noodles is mushy and definitely lack of QQ. The bomb egg is soaked in oil when served and there is way too much salt on it.

Been wanting to try this place for so long and it was a little disappointing. Came on a Sunday afternoon wish no wait at all. The service was friendly but a couple of issues. 1- the QR code would not scan with my Google phone. Had to use my iPhone to bring up the digital menu. 2- my go to item is a beef noodle soup. The soup was great, noodles perfect, but the beef was so tough I didn’t even want to finish the last couple of pieces. We also ordered the cucumber small plate and I enjoyed it more than the cucumbers at Din Tai Fung. I will probably be back but will try other items on the menu.

Despite of the long line we were seated after 10 mins. First time here in this restaurant. We loved everything we ordered. Had a little bit trouble using the cellphones to place the order individually using the app. But they were nice and helpful to sort it out. Will definitely come back again.
