Their baby back ribs and rib tips are amazing. Their collard greens were way too salty, we couldn’t even eat it. The turkey tips were season just right but it was too dry and hard. The turkey Polish tasted kinda strange. Almost like the meat was too old.

I love their food! Great soul food! They have a nice menu and it is reasonably priced. I have tried their rib tips, greens, mac and cheese, pizza puffs, and a few of their deserts. I have never had a bad meal from here. The sauce that is used on the ribs is so good. They also offer catering. I have have had them cater food for a Superbowl party that I had at home. My guest loved it. I didn’t have to worry about putting left overs away because there wasn’t anything left.

My woman turned me on to this place 5 years ago and it is a must stop when we pass by this area to see her sons. It has been a carry out place but regardless, so worth the purchase. I really don’t know how to start explaining this delight. From the sight thru the taste, it can not be duplicated by other places. “Incredible” says it all. If u don’t want your fries covered with sauce, just tell them ‘fries covered on the bottom’ some meals don’t need to look picture perfect…some just explode in your mouth as intended.

A great little gem tucked on a side street in Hessville. I saw their ad on Facebook and headed there for dinner. Honestly, the rib tips rock ! I got them dry and added my sauce individually so I could enjoy the smoky taste of tender, juicy pork…it comes with fries and a slice of bread for only eight bucks. I had Mac and cheese as a side, and it was baked perfectly…I can’t wait to go back and try the ribs…a must stop if you love smokehouse food..

I used to order from here all the time when I lived in Merrillville 7yrs ago. I would come back every now and then since moving out of state. The sauce on those ribs that I ordered yesterday were disgusting. It cant even be called bbq sauce nor mild sauce. It was awful and disappointing to my taste buds. I have never had sauce that taste like that ever before. Had I known they changed their sauce I would have went elsewhere.

I had a turkey leg and it was Outstanding! Generally when you go to most places, especially near the end of the day, the turkey legs are either dry or mushy…. This turkey leg tasted fresh like it was just cooked! And the leg itself was Gigantic!! Great grub and inexpensive too!! Great Job Big Daddy’s!!
