I ordered two 3-meat-plates with two-parts sliced brisket and one-part shredded pork for each plate. I opened one box and discovered that the sliced brisket was mostly cuts of complete fat. I’m not even kidding. Cuts of entire fat, no meat. I literally grabbed a handful of fat and threw it in the garbage. So I opened our next box hoping we could salvage our dinner and the next box was exactly the same as the first. Sliced fat with little chunks of meat. I did have a coupon for buy 1 plate get the 2nd plate free so the sting of this hurt a little less but I was still left with 3 hungry children and had to figure something else out for dinner. Around 10 years ago, Dickey’s was more affordable, and we used to eat there a lot. But now that plates are nearing $17.00, Dickey’s is more of a splurge. It’s a shame that we had this experience, and the manager of this restaurant should question his/her staff on this one. No way did the person who plated this meal not know that they were handing the customer literal cuts of fat.

I was delayed in getting there and arrived 4 minutes before closing. They were so kind and let me order take out. Dickey’s is one of my favorite bbq places. It’s been disappointing to see almost all of their restaurants close in Utah. My favorite side is their creamed spinach.

This place ended up being pretty expensive for what you get. I ordered the three meat plate with two sides and it cost me over $13. I thought that I would get more meat because I ordered the three meat plate. There didn’t seem to be a whole lot of meat for the price. The meat was really tender and juicy. The nice thing about it is that I went I right after noon and there was absolutely no left me.

Went to the Dickies for dinner, we both had brisket chili that was barely lukewarm, my ribs were cold. The brisket chili was too spicy for my wife to eat but we took at home and I heat it up and ate it the next day but I like plenty of spice. Probably would not go back for a cold meal there should have been heated. I will say their potato salad was very good as was their coleslaw.

I’m not sure how this place has some bad reviews. As for me I went on Saturday (3/6) with my son. It was my first time. I’m not from here, so this was a treat. We were greeted by Matilde and a co-worker. Both young ladies were pleasant. We ordered the Brisket sandwich plate. It has two sides and a drink. Matilde packed the brisket sandwich and the fries were made while we waited. We had no issues on our visit! Great deal for what we got.
