I took my wife here one week ago today, and it was my first time to dine in at any Golden Chick. The food was great, and I did mention that when I ordered. After I ate, he followed up and asked how I liked it. That is perfect customer service. Made for a perect evening! We will be back for sure!

Review of the new Golden Chick on Hwy 26 in Hurst at the old Chicken Express location: Wife & I tried it for lunch today … AWFUL … both orders screwed up & had to be corrected. They were “out” of cocktail sauce for shrimp. Didn’t really matter. The shrimp was bland & overcooked. The wings were ordered “spicy” but delivered bland & spice-less. The breading on the wings was so thick, oily & overwhelming that it completely obscured the minor amount of meat inside. I ate 2 of 6 wings and threw out the rest. The Dirty Rice was some absolutely horrible recipe which I could not identify. I thought Golden Chick might be good because it’s recommended by Texas Country Reporter. However, the food is awful … total waste of money. Not recommended.

We were given cold French fries, hard stale bread, and burnt dried up poppers and when brought to attention I was told well its been under the light and food was not replaced. I was 200 miles away from home and was very excited to get something that is not I’m my city. So disappointing to be sold old food.

Terrible location, food was luke warm, except the sandwich which was hot but over cooked, basically burned, service was ridiculously slow considering none of the food was fresh. Drive a couple of extra miles to the other locations. Hopefully this one closes soon because it gives Golden Chick a bad name.

Ordered a sandwich in the drive thru and was asked to pull forward and park, with 2 other cars. Spent over 5 minutes waiting while an employee ran multiple bags out to each of the two cars. Here’s an idea, have that one employee work on making food so that you can actually get food out faster instead of having people pull forward to that your drive thru service speed tracker says a lower number. It defeats the purpose of keeping track of how fast you can serve people through the dive thru and actually create MORE work and slower service.

Skimmed hard on the portions of food. For 11 bucks they gave me a kids portion meal. I got a 2 piece fish that I could literally tell it was just one small piece of fish just ripped in half down the visible center. I also only got like 12 pieces of okra for the side and someone actually looked at this before closing the lid and thought it was ok to send out smh.

Count your chicken pieces and rolls before you leave because they WILL short you. 1st time I called it a mistake. 2nd time nope. Fried chicken was dry and absolutely flavorless. There will not be a 3rd visit to this location. I thought Euless location was bad. Geez.
