Needs improvement. Food is decent, but the pulled pork did not even taste smoked. No chicken on the menu besides wings, and the sauces are fair. Great space, nice people, sides were good and wife enjoyed the Brisket. I will go back and try again, but it’s not quite up to par. Keep working on this guys, we need a good BBQ restaurant in town.

They have a new a much nicer roomy place! They are alive! Best ribs and brisket in the area hands down. They make all their own sides, like their own pickles…and it’s all top notch. Homemade sauces too. They’re super generous on portions. For instance the half rack of ribs is a much wider cut…huge. No disappointments here, just satisfaction. Also the staff is really kind. Great place! Go enjoy and keep them cookin!

Great BBQ. We ordered take out pulled pork, brisket and a bunch of sides, all were delicious. Seating inside the reastaurant looks very nice and clean. Cant wait to go back and try a sandwich and some ribs! Highly recommend.

They have pulled chicken now! Adding to the rest of their excellent menu- the sides are uniquely flavored and delicious. Hubby loves the ribs and sausage. I don’t even like BBQ normally but I love their stuff!

Wanted to try this place out, and decided to stop in for a take out dinner platter. Got basically all the meats (Ribs, Pulled Pork, Turkey, Brisket) and couple sides (MacNCheese, Collard Greens). Was very tasty, and full of flavor. Ribs were perfect, and I have eaten ribs just about everywhere you can get them and Dickey’s are pretty good as well, Brisket was spot on and just soooo good. My son even loved the food and he doesn’t ever eat BBQ food. I will be back for my next fix!!! Thanks.

Precious comments were right. Needs improvement. The pork was slightly dry and very little smoke flavor. The coleslaw was done well but it wasn’t my preferred style. Very big portions for the money which was great. Overall very generic. Pretty good for the area but average overall.

Not an affordable place for takeout. I purchased 2 lbs. brisket, 2 lbs. pulled pork, a quart of potato salad, pint of coleslaw and one cornbread. It cost $79! The coleslaw only weighed 5 ounces and was $4.99! The brisket for takeout 16.49/lb! The potato salad is 9.50/quart. Sorry guys but you won’t last long with these prices. It’s too bad because the eat in menu seems to be normally priced. Also very dirty tile floor around kitchen and serving area. Meats and sides were fair.

The smoked habanero wings are just amazing!! Real spicy, really smokey, the meat just falls off the bones! The mac and cheese is kind of dry? I like real cheesy mac and cheese, but that is mine and my wife’s personal preference. I definitely keep coming back to try more of there food, I just can’t get over how good those wings are mmm…

Nice place, friendly staff, ribs are legit, baked beans were really good, also had the slaw which was different, but good. Will be back to try more. Would definitely recommend this spot.

How can you call yourself a bbq place and not have chicken on the menu (beside wings) ? As a southerner this is a high disgrace. I’ll be happy to go to Bar-B-Q Pit in reading.
