I do not say this lightly, one of the best new Mexican seafood restaurants in Southern California. Sharing a few photos from different visits because we have been eating here often.

A wonderful surprise! Google “seafood” and El Zarandedo came up. After looking at the reviews and the food photos on Google, we decided to go. The service is fantastic, the food is even better. If I could give a 10 for the dishes I would. Loved it all!!!

I needed to come on here to help bring the rating where it needs to be. We went because we saw 4.8 stars, so we said it should be good. This place is basically an elevated hole in the wall place. Don’t get me wrong their are some really good hole in the wall places and this one is not it. Their prices are more expensive than restaurants like Calos, Javiers, Sol Agave, Asada Grill etc. and not nearly as nice. The salsa for chips tasted like it was mixed with ketchup and so we asked for salsa Verde and that one was really good. The pastor burritos were good but what was disappointing was their shrimp and crab enchiladas which were very pricey. I don’t recommend this place unfortunately. 3 stars is an accurate rating.

This place had decent food but apparently the owner/waiter/chef that waited on us wasn’t satisfied with the over 20% tip and decided to tip themselves another $24 on my card. When called about it I spoke with Maria and Ivan and they told me nothing could be done since the payment had finalized, but that I could drive down there and they would give me cash. Make sure you check you bank statements after going and don’t expect any remorse on their part when you catch the stealing from you.
