Taikin is one of my favorite restaurants to eat in the Doral area – not only is the food AMAZING, but the music, ambiance and service is great as well. Daniela always takes care of us, I have requested her ever since the first time she was our server. She’s sweet, always on top of her table’s needs and gives the best suggestions for new dishes and drinks – it feels like I’m visiting an old friend every time I pass by. Excellent team work and the line cooks never disappoint – meals, specially the rolls taste nice and fresh. Highly recommend this place 🙂

Food in general is good. The ceviche is pretty basic. I wouldnt order it again. But the sushi flame was very good. I dont like the tips part. They put on your account 18% and then ask you for more tip. At the end it could be 30% or more, im pretty sure that anybody would eat on a restaurant that ask you 30% at the begginig. The difference is that thay do it at the end.

Great creativity and taste out of this unassuming strip mall sushi restaurant. Once you are inside, the cool vibe coming from the lounge decor and the DJ makes you feel you’re in SOBE. Amazing taste in the sushi tiraditos and montaditos. Mother’s day special was a tempura roll with a well balanced ceviche on top. Perfectly served by Daniela.

I highly recommend trying the Fire roll since it was very good and unique. I had never had sushi with brie cheese and the combination with the sweet plantain was unexpectedly great! The montadito app and the tuna tartare were really good as well. With that said, the ceviche was short of acceptable. It felt more like a fishy cold soup than ceviche. Regarding the drinks, if you like sake, this is the place to go as most drinks have sake in it. Overall, I would say if you’re coming hungry, this isn’t really the best place as all dishes are pretty small and leave you wanting a bit more.

Whenever in Doral do NOT pass up the opportunity to stop at this wonderful restaurant. The food is simply amazing, the atmosphere and place is pleasant, and the service is friendly. I don’t agree with mandatory gratuity unless there’s a large party of six or more people, but that’s just a minor gripe on my end. I had a fantastic experience and I definitely will return…!!
