Amazing food! This local shop is quite a gem in Gretna. Not too far from the French Quarter area where I usually stay when I come in for my business meetings. It’s a quick 20-minute drive especially if you’re looking for healthier versions of some of the NOLA staples. The owner and her team are simply lovely as well. Definitely a must-go-to when you’re in town!

Went in because I heard the buzz about their hot sausage sandwich. The atmosphere was amazing with the chess sets at the tables. Seems to be black owned. Everyone was very polite. I didn’t eat anything because everything was made with beyond meat and impossible meat, NOT MY THING! If that’s your thing, than check them out. I hear the food is really good!

I purchased a vegan hot sausage PO boy. Initially i was very optimistic about it due to the fact of it being plant based. I heard a lot about it so I had to try it out. After I took my first bite, I ended up devouring the entire sandwich within seconds! It was nothing short of an authentic meat hot sausage POboy sandwich, but healthier!! 5 stars!!!

I had the hot sausage poboy. It was tasty but not something I need to have again. Very small sausage for the money plus tip. I would have returned to try other things but they were pretty unfriendly to me. I spoke twice before anyone would return my greeting. Just weird and off putting. Oddly, they were pretty friendly to the couple who came in after me. I should have left immediately but wanted to try them since I am transitioning away from being pescatarian back to vegetarianism. Oh well, I will go across the bridge.

When I saw the name of the restaurant I thought that they served vegan and pescatarian assuming the bass meant some type of fish that they sold. But bass is because the owner plays the bass guitar.

The food is delicious. I will definitely be going back when I am in town. I ordered the hot sausage Po’ Boy. This vegan sandwich took me all the way back. I haven’t had beef since 1995 but this tasted like the real thing. Amazing!

I’ve purchased food from Plant Bass Vegan Deli on multiple occasions. The Hot Sausage Poboy, Pizza, Black Bean Burger, Mic Drop Burger…okay, everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The cookies and all natural fruit punch are also bangers! Y’all have got to get that Veg Salad at least one time! Baby, you can eat off that thing for two to three days!
