Stopped here on an impulse. The NC pulled pork BBQ was okay. I have had better, but I would give it another chance if I was in the area.

Terribly unprofessional staff. Some of the bins that was supposed to offer were empty. For example fried chicken, green beans were the main ones. When I asked were there any other refills coming out I was told no without checking. We were so disappointed.

This place has a awesome selection of Southern cook foods. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu it all looked delicious. The barbecued ribs and vegetables were very good although the pork had a little too much sauce. Definitely will stop there again if I am ever this way.

First, I must say that I did not feel well a few hours after eating this food and it was the only thing that I had all day. I got to the Williamston location as soon as they opened. Only one other customer in line. My first time trying their food and hearing good things so I brought a lot. The trio plate (bbq, fried chicken, ribs), greens, cabbage and hushpuppies. Pork chops, yams and mashed potatoes with gravy. Twice baked chicken, and what looked like baked chicken in water, mac and cheese and green beans. Nothing made me say wow or I have to go back. Things that were good or decent: pork chops (fried good), yams, greens (okay), fried chicken, mashed potatoes (thick) with gravy, twice baked chicken, green beans (canned), hushpuppies. Everything could have used more seasoning except for the gravy. I could have had that poured over everything. The bbq, oh how I wanted it to be good had a sour taste to it. Almost like it was old, no vinegar taste at all. Just pulled pork that wasn’t fresh. Ribs were dry like they were from the day before. Cabbage was over cooked liked mush and not seasoned well. Baked chicken in water should have been my sign to leave it alone, moist from sitting in a liquid but no seasoning. Mac and cheese using big elbow noodles had no real cheese in it, fake cheese up top as a crust. When heated up nothing happened, no cheese strings. They have a lot of items to choose from unfortunately the dishes are not named on the display and the menu is jacked up too high in the air. Maybe I went to early, maybe dinner is the best time to go.

Decent food, but tasted like it had been sitting out under the lamps for a while. While everything was ok, nothing hit the “wow factor”.
