The service was great, restaurant was very clean, and the total only ended up being $22. The tacos themselves were excellent. Make sure to get pineapple on the Al Pastor tacos to make them even better.

I’ve been to Minnesota a handful of times, at the risk of sounding dramatic, I am yet to find decent food. Until today, El Patron is genuinely Mexican comida. The kitchen was spotless, food absolutely fresh!!!!! My mouth is still watering! The burrito was huge! The price was perfect. The owner/chef is energetic, excited and genuine. Great attitude and attention to cleanliness and detail.

Literally the best Mexican food in town. Tacos are substantial and tasty (nothing too fancy). The elote was amaaaazing. But truly the most special thing I had here were the churros. WOW! Best I’ve had in the states. Everything was reasonably priced. Can’t wait to keep visiting and trying the rest of the menu.

I accidentally stumbled upon their food truck around lunchtime on a Friday and was blown away by the quality of the food! These were by far the best tacos I’ve had in the cities and could compete with any I’ve had across the country. Quick and friendly service on top of that. I’ll be keeping an eye out for this little gem and I look forward to hitting up their brick and mortar spot in the near future.

Me and a friend were looking for somewhere to eat instead of Taco Bell we decided on Taqueria El Patron. We both ordered the Birria Tacos and they were SO DELICIOUS. I couldn’t stop taking bite after bite and before I knew it I had cleaned my plate which was satisfying and disappointing at the same time because my mouth party was coming to an end. Highly recommended. I will definitely be going back, bringing friends and recommending this place.

My go-to place for consistently delicious Mexican take out! I usually order the flautas, and they’re always fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The guac and chips are great too! The horchata is amazing. I’ve told a number of friends about this spot, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend a visit!

This place is absolute flames. As you probably know, parts of Minnesota can flavor deserts. I live outside of MPLS and when I come across anything that isn’t cheese curds, the flavors tend to be watered down and made milder to appeal to those who have never left the Midwest. Then I found Taqueria el Patron. I was craving some birria from back home which is the Central Valley of California, and to be honest, I was scared to be disappointed again from trying another Mexican restaurant in this state. But alas, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor! I got the quesabirria and it SLAMS, the salsas could have been hotter, but they tasted amazing regardless. I also got an horchata and that was on point. I love this place so much, it’s my new favorite birria spot away from home!
