Saw this little hole in the wall while walking home with some stuff. Ordered a chicken tender meal and a banana pudding to go. Food was decent, the fries were slightly soggy. The banana pudding was ok.

Definitely your mom n pop place nothing fancy but the food was amazing! I got the jumbo shrimp platter and my husband got the whiting. Seasoned perfectly! You can tell they take pride in their food. Definitely recommend this place

In town for a weekend getaway and decided to try something new, had a taste for soul food and this was near the hotel and airport. The place was empty and the floor was sticky… should have been first clue, but I gave it a chance anyway.

JD’s Kitchen made me so happy! The food was so delicious. I had the perch chicken combo with okra, baked beans with Mac & cheese. My son had chicken tenders w/ Mac cheese. Hubby had a pork chop, fries and baked beans. When our food came out together, everything was hot and fresh! I was so impressed with the staff and service at this restaurant.

Hello, JD’s Kitchen is a nice place to go, to get your favorite fish, including catfish, wings , fries, and so much more ! My family had Sweet Chili sauce wings with Mac and cheese, fried porch chop sandwich and Mac and cheese, and I had the beef hot dog and fries…. All very good, well cooked and tasty!! Folks there are very nice and you will be greeted warmly as soon as you get thru the door! Check accompanied pictures ! Just a nice clean bright pleasant little restaurant! Nice place to relax and bring the kids..There are nice clean restrooms available if needed too…If you are close ,you have to stop in and grab a bite….God Bless, Keith….

My family had JD’s today and everything was hot and delicious! My son said the all beef hot dog was BUSSIN! Lol but seriously the whole wings were crispy and flavorful. The macaroni was cheesy and the baked beans were just right (lots of flavor and just enough sweet. We also order some whiting and it was crispy and flavorful. All the staff were welcoming and nice. I wish I took a photo but I was too hungry. Closed Monday and Tuesday FYI. Anywho check them out!

I went with friends who know the owner. I will say the food was GREAT. I ordered the wings and shrimp with fries. It was perfectly cooked. I ordered my mom the catfish and she loved it. I also ordered the fried peach pie and a fried sweet potato pie. The peach filling was great. I wasn’t a fan of the sweet potato one. It was way too runny. The crust on the peach was okay, however would have been AMAZING if it was sprinkled with sugar or a cinnamon and sugar mixture just to take it up a notch but overall I enjoyed it. Next time I’ll just try the sliced sweet potato pie and I want to try the pecan pie. My one and only complaint was that we were not greeted when we entered. There were 3 people visible to us at the time and no one acknowledged us. We approached the register and the young man who came forward was a tad bit cold.. not friendly at all, and as a first time visitor unfamiliar with the ordering process a small smile and greeting would have gone a long way. As of now it is my intent to visit again on a future trip to Columbus, I believe it may have just been an off moment for them.

Visiting from out of state and found this place on Google. It was empty when we arrived, but my wife said it was clean and when she went in the employees were very friendly. It turns out they were empty because they recently extended business hours and most of the regulars thought they were closed already. We decided to give it a shot and we’re glad we did. We tried the pork chop platter, fried chicken wings and tenders, perch, baked beans, mac & cheese, fried okra and the apple pie.
