This was my first visit to Basil’s On Market. It was a Monday at 5:30 and wasn’t too busy. We got a nice seat at the back. Our server was Virginia, and she was FABULOUS! Very friendly and on top of drink refills without hovering. We ordered the bruschetta for the table. It’s different from the standard but was very good. For the entree, I ordered the Chicken Bacon Pasta (without bacon) and a bread basket. Everything was delicious and fresh. The flavor of the chicken was terrific and super tender and juicy. I’d definitely recommend trying it. Check out Basil’s when you’re in Troy and tell Virginia, April sent ya.

First time here. We had our last night of drivers ed and came here for supper. Just wow. Great food, was surprised at the food. Great atmosphere and our waitress was spot on with everything. Would definitely come here again and bring my wife.

Always amazing food and drinks. Service is outstanding and friendly. Cozy, hip, modern, industrial vibe. Family friendly and business appropriate. Anything from salads, to Salmon, to steak, or lobster and shrimp, all prepared by a chef. No short cuts on quality or flavor. This is my favorite place to eat when I’m in town for business.

I’m leaning more and more towards considering Basil’s the best restaurant in Troy. The food is always incredible and prices are more than reasonable. There’s a really nice and comfortable atmosphere that’s about perfect for grabbing a quick bite at lunch, getting a couple drinks with a friend or a dinner date with that special someone.

Wonderful restaurant with kind staff and great food. While it’s a little more than your average restaurant, the food quality and portion sizes are amazing and well worth it. With seasonal food and a slightly changing menu, I can always recommend this place.

Visited Basil’s early in July and the food was delicious! I purchased the salmon salad and it was perfect! My mother purchased the chicken tenders, and they were a bit pink, but still pretty good! Service was slow, there was a sign for help wanted on the front window. But overall pretty good food for the price!

Coming through town and stopped in for dinner. The wait staff was attentive and polite. We were sat very quickly. Nice atmosphere but the temperature was artic. My wife wore my zip up sweater but it didn’t help much. Subtracted a star for that. No pleasant at all. On to the food. Huge portions. I had the braised short rib over risotto with roasted veggies. Absolutely a delight. Meat was tender with flavorful sauce. Risotto was thick and creamy with cheese oh so rich. Roasted vegetables were Brussels, peppers and onions cooked perfectly. My spouse had the salmon salad. Salmon was cooked to perfect. It was a giant salad and she particularly loved the candied nuts. Overall the food is top shelf. Service is perfect. Just control the A/C please.

Very comfortable and cozy. Great customer service. The food was okay. Bread basket was very tasty. I went with the open caprese sandwich. It was supposed to have cheese but I did not get that. The pesto was very very bland, but I’m a spice-a-holic so not sure if others will feel the same.
