I was at a fairly large social gathering, and they served pizza and wine. Everyone went insane over the pizza. I presumed the pizza hadn’t been bought on Bainbridge Island. Then one of the hosts said, “Yes it was. It’s the best pizza on the Island. We always buy our pizza from Bene Pizza behind Safeway.” I didn’t know of any pizza parlor behind Safeway, so I looked it up. It’s actually “down” from Safeway on Hildebrand Lane. We ordered take-out tonight.

We ordered the caesar salad and fennel pizza to go on Saturday and while we waited for our order we got their moscow mule and black manhattan and sat on their patio. The food and drinks were amazing! The pizza was just spicy enough and the dressing on the salad was top notch!
