Great new spot in the second street district. A classic tile clad oyster and seafood spot. Great wines and cocktails. Epic raw oyster bar. Excellent beef tartar. The fries were probably the best I’ve had in ATX. Friendly wait staff and bartenders. A guaranteed new fave!

Came here for just drinks and oysters. It was packed, and the dining area is very small along with a bar, so be sure to make a reservation on weekends. We sat pretty much in the kitchen, it gets smokey there from the food cooking. I’d rather wait for a table next time. The spicy margarita was delicious, with just the right amount of spice. The chef was nice and told us about the oyster selection. We tried two different sorts and they tasted fresh. The service was good for the most part. Everyone seemed on top of it, except when we waited for a check for a while but that might have been due to our seating location. A great place for drinks and bites. It can just feel a bit too crowded in there due to the amount of space.

Fantastic little restaurant for oysters, seafood and wine. Ornately decorated modern interior with a nice patio for outdoor dining.

Had the most amazing experience at bills. Had dinner while my family was in town and everyone was blown away! The spot is the quintessential upscale, but not pretentious, neighborhood joint. Seems to be based off New Orleans with a touch of NY and of course Texas. The service was friendly and staff was knowledgeable and since we shared everything (4 ppl) helped to make sure our order was well suited to our likes and appetite. We had the Colorado Platter, king crab, oysters royale, burger, lobster roll, scallop ceviche, crab cake, mozzarella sticks with caviar, grouper fingers and of course had to finish with a cheesecake. Everything was a hit!! The wine list is a little different for what you would think at an oyster bar, but it was so unique and paired so great! We had some cocktails too – their list is a lot of cool takes on classics and I wish I could’ve tried more. Overall will be making this a regular spot (happy hour is a steal).

Took my mom and tried the Mozzarella Sticks and Caviar, Lobster Roll and Bill’s Burgers. Everything we ordered came out quickly and tasted great. The staff was very attentive. Go check it out!

Great drinks (get the Chris Owens) and the dishes were fresh and creative. We especially loved the beef tartare, crabcake and of course the oysters, but it was all delicious. The decor is beautiful. Will definitely be back!!

Loved the food and will be back for crab cake, Caesar, sneaky good steak tartare and a solid smash burger.

Service was great, can’t complain about the people, but the lack of a vent hood was ridiculous. The whole place was filled with smoke and my eyes starting burning the second I sat down. I had to excuse myself multiple times to go outside for a rest for my eyes. Now I have extra sensitive eyes but by the end of the meal my entire party of 5 was crying. I don’t know how that’s remotely okay in a restaurant. It’s been a couple hours since I left and my eyes are still burning as I write this.

My wife and I love coming in to Bill’s. Service is incredibly friendly and helpful each time we’ve been, the food is super tasty and consistently high quality. The oysters are the freshest we’ve tried in Austin and the cocktail program is excellent! (All the cocktails on the menu are pre-batched for the most part so they are cold, consistent, and tasty.)
