Discovered Hapa House PDX through Doordash and I do not regret my decision to get lunch from this restaurant! The pork kalua was extremely flavorful, especially with the onion gravy on top. I also enjoyed the macaroni salad and found it to have more of an interesting taste compared to the blander mac salads at other Hawaiian-inspired restaurants. You can tell not only from the message that they include in the bag, but also from the cooking itself, that Hapa House is passionate about their food. I intend fully to order from them again.

Very poor customer service. Staff was rude and very unhelpful. They don’t even have a sign in front of the restaurant with their name on it. They have a piece of cardboard it says h h on it with a phone number on the ground in front of the door behind a car that is parked there. They don’t have a parking lot or anywhere that you can park. If you call them and ask them where they are or if they’re across the street from the Northwest Natural that is across the street they speak to you in a very rude town and refuse to help you find them. After I pick up the food I told the man to have a good night and he looked at me with the disgusting look on his face and walked back inside. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never be back there to pick up food again. As you can probably tell from their photograph it looked more like a bakery in there. The window clearly has a name on there that has nothing to do with the business. It also appeared to be quite dirty but you will see that if you ever go there yourself.

Food is delicious. I recommend the bento box. Can’t go wrong, but check website first. They’re often closed for a week or so at a time. So hours are a bit unpredictable.

Excellent all around! Tried for the first time last night, and was extremely pleased with the delicious pork plate, spam and delicious desserts. When I mentioned one of the orders was gluten free, they kindly tweaked one of the pork plates and even substituted one of the desserts (the brownie) as a gluten-free option. Thanks Hapa House, we will be back 🙂

An underrated Hawaiian joint!! I got the Salmon Tataki and Spam Musubi, and they were both amazing. Perfect balance of veggies, carbs, and protein with the fresh and flavorful Tataki. And a perfectly cooked and proportioned Musubi.

Loved the food here. We got a hot dog, brisket plate, spam mushabi and a poke bowl. Everything was delicious. The macaroni salad dressing was awesome and the gravy on the brisket was so tasty. Definitely going back…you will be happy you did.

Just ordered a salmon and tuna bento box for our family. We did not have much time since we are doing a tour with OMSI soon. Very happy how delicious and healthy everything was. Also quick, we ordered online and waited only 5 minutes. We took 1 stop with the bus to get there and then back to the museum. We highly recommend it!
