The server was great. Outdoor and indoor seating. My friends all got wings and said they were tasty. I got the potato skins, and they were pretty good but looked like they were made earlier in the day or yesterday and then reheated or had been sitting under a heat lamp or something. They definitely didn’t look or taste like they were baked fresh to order. Good beer selection. I’d go back and give it another try.

Have been going to Lazy Parrot for years, because they have the best wings in town, and it’s not even that close. The same staff seems to be working every time I visit, night or day, but you almost always get service with a smile no matter how hard they’re being worked. The addition of the new outdoor covered deck seating area is wonderful and really adds a lot to the location. Can’t wait to spend some more summer evenings eating wings, watching sports, and drinking beer right here.

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the bird cage. From the time I opened the door the service and staff were great! We ordered the wing platter with a side of fried zucchini. The wings were absolutely great! They were big, crisp and juicy. The fried zucchini was also good and everything washed down wonderfully with a couple of golden beverages. I would definitely come back! Poly want a cracker for sure..

We were a group of 7 bikers passing through that had herd this place had pretty good wings . We we all ordered different things . I ordered wings. None of us ate all our food. It wasnt good at all . This place doesn’t like bikers either. If you wear a patch they dont want your business. This place totally sucked. I dont know how they stay in business with food that bad.

I’ve been here about 3 times now. The 1st and 2nd time were okay. The 3rd time was the worst service I’ve received in a while from any restaurant. The bartenders were mostly away from the bar. I ordered a california wrap no bacon, sub buffalo sauce instead of ranch. There was no sauce and no avocado. I had to ask twice for a side of buffalo and avocado, and then they charged me for those sides when they should have been included in the sandwich. I won’t be returning.

It is a “seat yourself” place so sometimes you’re waiting for a bit until a server realizes you’re waiting for them, and they are often short staffed so you might be waiting longer than you’d like, but the food is very good. We like the patio seating and there is an area out front for corn hole which is cool.

Lazy parrot is usually a great lunch however, within the past 2 months it has been a terrible experience. The lack of professionalism is unacceptable. Today, we ordered 10 wings and fries which is normal. Not only did all drums come (a bit under cooked and slimy), but the fries were dumped from the bottom of the baskets (crumbs). When asked why flats were not included the staff replied with no empathy and lack of support and the reply was it’s already sorted out. This doesn’t make any sense because you can request all of flats, get accommodated with an up charge. If you’re going to pre sort them, do half and half, simple. Disappointed and likely will not return. Do better!

Lazy Parrott has the best wings in Charlottesville. Real wings – not nuggets, (although I’m sure the nuggets are good too). Proper wings are fried. Not baked. Not broiled. Not smoked. LP gets it and does it better.
