I see why this place was temporarily out of business. It seems to be family owned and operated. The kid sits in from of the bathroom, blocking it. The prices had gone up significantly. I get that everything is expensive these days, but I paid $14.00 for four flautas (rolled tacos). A little pico and a glow of pink sour cream on my plate. That’s it. No beans or rice. No chips and salsa. They charge $1.99 if you want chips. I didn’t even get a receipt. She, the motherly cashier, wouldn’t give me one.

Some of the warmest friendliest customer service I have experienced in a while. The burrito was so delicious. I got a Maria burrito with chicken. Spicy but not too spicy and lots of onion and cilantro. It was hot and fresh and so satisfying. I will be back!

This is a small family owned business. The place is clean and food was really good. The prices are a little high but not to bad. The family who runs that place is super nice.

Their crispy tacos saved my life and showed me a glimpse of heaven. Anyone who hasn’t tried a crispy taco from Taqueria Maria has not truly lived.

This is a fun little place that does tacos and more. I get hard shell chicken taco, and my husband gets lengua soft tacos. They have a good variety of mexican bottled beer. Reasonable prices. Always fresh and tasty. Best salsas in Sacramento!

Super burrito was 10 out of 10. Seems like a small family owned spot which makes it even better in my opinion.

Pretty freaking good! Was on my way to my staple, Aldabertos; but noticed this beauty on my way off the fwy. Sorry Al, there’s a new big bad hombre in town (IDK if they’re new, just fun to say).

I live in the area and was craving a burrito so I decided to give Taqueria Maria a try. Came in to grab a to-go lunch in the late afternoon and was not disappointed. Was welcomed and helped promptly, since this was my first time in I kept it simple and order a classic beef chimichanga. Got my order quickly and they put napkins and plastic wear in the bag with me even having to ask. Got home and discovered the monster that I ordered lol. The chimichanga was a full meal, super delicious, but not something that was too messy to eat properly. Good ratio of shredded beef, beans, and rice plus they listened to my request for sour cream/salsa/guac on the side which is always appreciated by me (unfortunately not the case everywhere). Would definately visit again.

This was our first visit and won’t be our last. We loved our lunch and the lady taking the orders was great. Said she’s blessed to receive recommendations from nearby businesses. I would have given six stars except that there is no AC. 100+ day today.
