Everything’s delicious and consistent, I’ve never had an off day here. Easy recommendations are the chili relleno burrito, especially if you add asada. Tortas are an easy win, though I’d skip the jalapenos on this one if you don’t like them pickled, like La Costeña style. Flautas are stupid good, and tacos are solid.

So my husband used to come here when he was working in the pest control industry. He and his co worker who knew to speak Spanish helped my hubby order. We came here again as we were lost looking for something else and he remembered how good this place was. So he doesn’t speak Spanish and did the best to order and the ladies weren’t to helpful to him and he was even frustrated. But I went in and I didn’t have a problem because I do speak Spanish. Any who’s I ordered and food is super fresh and good. Restroom is clean. The sweet bread is fresh and so good. There’s something for everyone. I haven’t made it to the ice cream section nor the carnicería but I’m sure it’s good cause the lines are out the door.

Good place for Mexican food, pastries, icecream, tortilla factory and a supermarket on the side, right in front of the Oxnard Transportation Center.

This place used to be great, until my recent visit. They used to have great homemade refried beans but now they seem to have canned beans totally throwing off the flavors that I used to enjoy.

Every visit is like a fiesta in this bright and friendly family owned cafe. So many food choices including Chile rellenos, nopales, tacos al pastor, carnitas, aguas fresca, etc. And then there’s the Nieves! Truly, en la Gloria!

For a guy who come through town here once a year, I gotta stop her for my annual burrito. My Spanish is limited but I always get what I want. Gracias
