Kurts Steakhouse…AMAZING! Their service was ON POINT it was mass crazy busy in there and not one time did the service lag…such a well oiled fantastic team…no water or soda glass went dry and empty plates were never left sitting on the table…just FANTASTIC work!! Tonight’s dinner was also beyond AMAZING…as every dinner at Kurts Steakhouse always is…but tonight’s dinner was one for the books! From the fresh breaded cheese curds, the rich and creamy lobster bisque, cheesy and robust French onion soup, the perfectly chilled crisp veggie salads and the melt in your mouth never ending basket of rolls…I also had…the BEST steak I have EVER had!! A 9oz coffee crusted manhattan cut with a Brie cheese sauce and the famous Parmesan potatoes, then there was the Crab crusted Chilean sea bass with a pomodoro beurre blanc sauce, and the classic petite filet Oscar style…and topped off the evening with a happy birthday dessert platter!! If you’re looking for the perfect celebration or the perfect Wisconsin style supper club…Kurt’s is the place to be!

If you are in the area you have to come here or make the drive for a night away. The food was delicious. We had the Top Sirloin and it was so full of flavor and soft as butter. Every part of the meal was perfect and the drinks were very good as well. The atmosphere were perfect. Shout out to BJ for being a rock star! Thank you Kurt’s for making these 2 mom’s night way just what we needed.

Kurt’s Steakhouse was wonderful! We had the rib-eye and salmon for dinner. The lobster bisque was absolutely exquisite. The garlic mashed potatoes were so delicious. Dessert was so tasty and came in huge portions. We will definitely visit again!

Food was excellent, but service was barely acceptable. We had a reservation on a Tuesday night and we walked in the door exactly on time. We then waited for 5 minutes as a number of employees didn’t know where the hostess was or what to do with us. We politely say we’re going to wait at the bar and we wait there for 5 minutes without the bartender even looking at us. Then we’re finally seated (in a cramped crowded area when there is a large area barely filled), but wait there for more than 5 minutes before a drink order is taken. Then wait another 5 minutes before drinks come. Eventually our first entrée was set down on our table and a couple onion rings were snacked on by us, but then we were told it was not our food and they took the food back (and we watched it get served to another table). Once our actual food was given to us it was delicious – no doubt about that, but the service left a sour taste in our mouths. Building is also a little dated and rundown and our server checking in with us if we needed drinks or anything was spotty as well.

Kurt’s is amazing! The dinning rooms are charming and the wait staff friendly and attentive. The food is always well prepared and we have never be disappointed at Kurt’s. They have prime grade steaks on the menu and they cook them properly! Absolutely one of my favorite steakhouses!

Beware the so-called “cash discount,” which in reality is a credit card surcharge! No mention of this surcharge was made, so I imagine many people miss it. Guests also get taxed on the surcharge. After a nice meal and good service, the topic our group of 6 discussed on our way out the door was our feeling of being ripped off. We can certainly afford $12.94, but it is a sneaky charge. Kurt’s, if you have a problem with your bank fees, don’t make YOUR problem MY problem!

From the very beginning, I knew that I’d have a good experience at this place. The two ladies checking coats greeted me and my fiance with huge smiles and even complimented me on my blouse. As we waited for our table to become available, we walked through to the bar area which was full of people who smiled at us and politely moved aside when we were trying to walk through. Once seated at the bar, the bar tender approached us immediately and was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. We had two drinks by time our table became available. The food was delicious and worth every penny! I did wish that there was a little more space in the bar area and that the bathroom was located in a more discrete location.

Kurt’s never disappoints. I have been going there for over 20 years and was there again last night. We enjoyed a fabulous all around experience from a warm greeting by Chrissy at reception to the country club pour cocktails built by Jean Anne and the Cowboy rib eye from the kitchen. I have always been a rib eye guy but also have had the Sicilian tenderloin which is equally delicious along with other menu items.
