I had a Friday lunch and had no wait for a table. This was my first visit, and ordered the Mole Poblano and a margarita. Both were excellent. I will return! The restaurant is cute inside and has an outdoor patio although the patio chairs and tables were not set up when I arrived. Parking will be along a nearby residential street. The bill was just over $20. Given the amount of chicken and size of the margarita, the price was well justified.

Typically a lunch visit for me. Pricey for lunch but the food is good. A bit of a language barrier, but just know exactly what you want and point it out on the menu. Usually no wait for lunch. They have a lunch menu but the prices are so close to the dinner menu I opt for the dinner portions.

The la Brasa meal is the best price-to- food quantity deal in the city. Hands down they give a mountain of mixed seasoned meats and veggies with melt cheese mixed throughout, with sides, and they don’t skimp on the tortillas either.

Visiting from California we have our share of Hispanic restaurants or taco trucks. My expectations were not high. The food is decent but I would not go out of my way to eat here. The enchiladas were okay but the chicken was spicy which took the flavor away from the enchilada sauce. The mole was good but left a lot to be desired with the mole sauce, salt and more of a chocolate flavor were missing components. I ordered a michelada which was also okay oddly received it with a quarter of the glass empty or full the perception is yours. Presentation is not everything but maybe a smaller glass would be better. The service could also be better, if you’re in a pinch you’ll be able to dine here or get something to go on the fly.

I really was disappointed when I finally had a chance to try this restaurant last week. We were sat and then ignored for quite some time. I had to ask to have our order taken. Order was not correct but the tacos were tasty. Asked for napkins but never got any, this was after waiting quite a while for our order. It’s a nice location. I don’t think I would rush back to A La Brasa to dine again.

This is one of the only places I’ve found that still has affordable prices for a full dinner (in my case, enchiladas, rice, and beans). Eclectic but cozy dining room. Prompt and attentive service at an off-peak time. Outdoor seating looked to be available.

A la Brasa is a quaint Mexican spot that never fails. If I am in the mood for Mexican, my go to spot will ways be A la Brasa. From their tortas, sopes, to alambres, this restaurant has a robust list of menu options that will always leave you wanting more. Furthermore, the restaurant is owned by a lovely group of individuals. I cannot express what great of a gem this restaurant is to the Mexican and Madison Community.

Just had lunch at A La Brasa I was greeted as I came in the door and was seated right away. Very friendly folks I ordered the Taco dinner from the menu you get 2 tacos with rice and beans with your choice of filling I picked the asada and the shredded beef. While waiting for my meal I enjoyed some very good chips and salsa which had a little snap to it and was excellent. My meal came very quickly and was nice and hot and it was Excellent. If you want very good food this is the place to stop and enjoy it and if its busy wait for a few minutes you wont be disappointed.
