Service was fast. Food was decent although the shredded beef was not shredded it sort of was like blocks although it was still good!! Chips and salsa was a highlight so good. I got the #1

Salsa was good, the fire roasted tomatoes have it a good flavor. Asada fajitas were good and perfect portion for 1. The loaded shredded beef nachos were stacked and the large was more than enough for 1 person.

Nice little place. Small dining room. Very clean women’s restroom. Food is good, not great. Portions are good. French fries are to die for! My daughter got a free fried ice cream on her birthday. Sopa pillas are flat, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and honey. Topped with a little whipped cream. Served on a 10 or so inch plate and cut like a pizza. Kid friendly. High chairs and booster seats. I recommend this place.

If you eat here please make sure to ask Julia to make you a jalapeño pineapple margarita. They are the very best! The tamales were good, but the service was by far the very best and made eating here an unforgettable experience

It’s a nice establishment but the plating for the food is kinda shabby, i ordered the burrito manuelito it food wasn’t all too flavorful it looked microwaved with a dollop of sourcream on it. I had to ask for hot sauce to get some kind of flavor on there. On a different note everyone was very nice and polite service was WONDERFUL. I felt welcomed and happy. While I wouldn’t come here on repeat occasion it’s nice to hang out and talk with friends and/or family.

Listening to “dancing queen” while at a mexican restaurant is so beyond wild to me. There is nothing “authentic” here people. Firstly, the salsa tasted like tomato soup and not like salsa at all. It also tasted canned and not fresh. The chips are basic, but one of the best items on their menu unfortunately. I ordered the taco salad and my husband got the #1 combo. The taco salad is small, its mostly lettuce with a sprinkle of meat, guac and sour cream. Literally a small teaspoon of guac and sour cream with some cheese. There is no beans in there either and they give you the driest lime wedge known to man. Ive gotten juicy limes from freds and better salads so idk whats going on there. The chicken was a little bland, but it was juicy. So there is that. My husband was not a fan of his food either. He said the flavor was not there and the only thing he “liked” was the tostada- which had more sour cream than my taco salad. I liked the rice and beans, but he did not and couldnt understand why he kept finding random big chunks of carrot in the rice and i couldnt either. They have no salsas that they give for your food btw. No green salsa or anything. The maragritas are strong, but im guessing they want you a little tipsy so you cant tell that you are getting scammed. Which is what I felt, for a bit over $50. I dont know what it is about Alaska, but they cannot get mexican food right. Its all watered down. Guess all these places having “gringo” tacos should be the biggest warning sign. No authentic mexican place has gringo tacos lol. Gave two stars instead of one, for the customer service. Which really is the bare minimum that they did- but still. I wish I would have gotten my money back, but im too shy to do that lol.

Chips and salsa are not complementary here, but good salsa. Service has never been a problem either. We ordered their jalapeno and cheese mini tamales, good but not at all spicy if your looking for the heat. I ordered the tacos el pastor. Pork was very dry. The chimichangas(shredded beef) was pretty good to my taste buds. I’d give them another try some other day and test out their flautas for sure.

The Quesidilla with mushrooms was AMAZING. If you like mushrooms, I highly recommend it. We had them add the pastor, and this worked well because the mushrooms were very strong, and it was good to have a bit of something else every other bite so you didn’t get overwhelmed with the umami.

Tasteless food, stale chips, cheese machine queso, carne asada was like chewing beef jerky… nothing authentic about it.. hell even the music was old school pop.
