Small, simple, very welcoming, and the best pie anywhere around – even at other places with larger and newer facilities. It is easy to get to, located right on the main thoroughfare in the Fountain, MN community. Once, we had biked uphill from Lanesboro, MN, on a defunct tandeum bike and were so exhausted that we wondered if we had the strength to return to our hotel. This is when we first discovered Village Square pie – it was like a godsend!

This is a great small town restaurant. The pizza is very good so that seems to be what I always order. Years ago we used to go to Sunday brunch after church. I am not sure if they still do this, but is was so delicious! There are some really good looking specials too. Homemade pie is very good, but I still like the crust that I make the best though this is close. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and staff is nice and friendly. If you are looking for comfort food, this is the place to go.

I had the chicken salad crescent and wild rice soup. Also had homemade pie with ice cream on it. Prices were not too high. Great place to get some different flavored ice cream too.

Sat may 20th, 2pm. Girl working kept ignoring my blind mother and I. She even admitted that she “forgot we were even here”. Tried to order the special and she said “forgot to erase that there is no special”.. sandwiches advertised w chips or a side, but nope theres only chips.. didnt even melt the cheese on a hot ham n cheese….Then it took 15mins to even get her to swipe our card. Won’t EVER return to this place

Great dessert, average pizza. Wonderful pecan pie and ice cream (I believe the pie was homemade, ice cream was not but is good quality). We’ve had pizza at some of the top rated restaurants in Minneapolis and this wasn’t anywhere near as good. We like our pizzas flavorful with fennel, garlic, red pepper. This pizza did not have that, and the crust was bland. Just not outstanding, nothing I will remember. I’ll come again for dessert and maybe try a sandwich instead of pizza. There were people coming in for pizza while we were there, so some people must like it, or it’s one of the only options in this small town. And restaurant was clean, but with dated decor. Employee was friendly and service fast, prices good/reasonable.

We have eaten here twice in the past month and it has always been great. (We are not for the area and was passing through). Because of Covid and the Governor’s orders, we had to dine in our vehicle. That is ok…it is defiantly worth it. Their meals are made from scratch as are their desserts. Their prices are reasonable and the food is so good. If you want some horn cooked comfort food, here is your place.

Had the Taco pizza, wife had the mushroom burger. Burger was OK, but served with chips rather than fries, not a bad thing wife just prefers fries. Taco pizza was solid, served with sour cream and salsa. Waitstaff was good. Table next to us had the daily special turkey with mashed and carrots. Looked good and came with some good looking cholate cake. Place is known for good pie.
