Delicious tasty quick in rice bowls, with a wide selection of flavors and meats, and pasty udon noodles. Nice atmosphere in the interior, friendly staff, if tasty pot is busy come down here and check it out!

Hands down the worse Don I ever had. Not for debate. The food was blend and it taste like my 3 year old nephew was trying to cook without his parents. I don’t have any expectations but it was worse than what I thought. Not trying to be mean but it’s just what I thought straight up. Thank you for your understanding.

First time here. Tasty braised pork rice bowl with yam and pickled vegetable. Pork is very tender. Comes with miso soup. At $10.99 that is a cheap lunch in Berkeley. Looks like they have a nice sake and beer selection. Recommended.

I had to wait a few days before I wrote a review about my dinner here with friends. I was here celebrating a coworker’s birthday. I only enjoyed one of the three entrees I ordered. I ordered chicken gyoza, Karaage( fried chicken), and a crab meat salad. I only enjoyed the salad. The gyoza were unappetizing and burnt. The fried chicken was dry and did not resemble the photo on the menu board. I also had a lot of fried skin in my order and no meat. We were sharing food and I found the tempura was soggy and boring. I will not be returning.

Thinking about going here? Do it. You won’t regret it. We ordered the katsu don, braised pork belly, and tempura. The pork belly was phenomenal. I’m still savoring the sauce. The tempura was light and you could really taste the flavors of the vegetables. There was also an insane amount of it. Finally the katsu don was everything I wanted. The breading was light and the flavors delicious. It was also enough for two meals. I will be eating here often in the future.

Was craving some and missing good gyudon (after having spent 6 years living in Japan). Saw this restaurant had it on the menu and ordered it on doordash. This is the most tasteless, watered down gyudon I have ever had. More akin to something you would get at a high school cafeteria. Not sure if they know how to make gyudon but this is not it….

Great spot for Japanese food. As a Japanese person, I was surprised by the menu options and the quality of each plate. All of it is authentic, the shows playing inside are entertaining and an overall really cool place to chill and eat. I was craving udon and was happy to get it here!
