Metro Diner was a great place to eat at right after visiting the Florida Museum. They accommodated our large group (8 people and a baby), and our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The fried chicken Benedict is one to not miss out on. The egg was cooked perfect and the chicken was tender and juicy. Highly recommend Metro for an affordable, laid back, delicious dining experience.

What a cool little diner. Service was great, and their speed is impressive. My wife ordered the chicken salad croissant with fruit salad. The croissant was light and buttery, and the chicken salad is delicious and has fresh grapes, too. Fruit salad has a mixture of melons, pineapple, grapes, and strawberries. All fresh. All wonderful. I ordered the beef tips with green beans. The beef tips smothered in brown gravy, fresh mushrooms with a line of mashed potatoes in the middle and fresh crisp cooked green beans on the other. I expect food to be overcooked at diners, and I was pleasantly surprised when all of our food arrived fresh and cooked perfectly. Stop in for a bite. You too will be happy you did.

The food was very good just a little bit more potatoes and I like. I got the salad which was absolutely delicious. I got a cottage pie which they called shepherd’s pie. It was pretty good but it just had a taste to it I wasn’t sure about.

Great portions and food very tasty. Our server was very nice but spoke a little too fast for my dad, he had a hard time following up. Food was good but there were some items they had that were not on the menu (like cheese fries). We asked because we saw it in the menú online. We got the cesar salad, chicken tenders, chicken sandwich and fried chicken plate. I would say the one the best out of all was the chicken sandwich. Cheese fries were amazing as well but they come with fried jalapeños so you can take this off if you don’t like spicy. They also have gluten free bread for the burgers. Overall it was a nice experience.

This places success is held up by the fantastic people that work here. We sat at the kitchen counter and Josh was running the kitchen like a conductor of a symphony orchestra. It’s a diner with perfect food execution. We ate everything and didn’t have a single thing we could say could’ve been better. Loved how even when customers had unreasonable requests, the staff pivoted fast and delivered. You must visit and we highly recommend. Side note- we went to a food festival where Metro Diner participated and received a $5 off coupon. Just want to let you know the marketing works and we were impressed.

Man. Metro Diner is one of my favorite places to hit up: good old-fashioned American comfort food and diner food. The one in Flagler was easily top 3 best fried chicken ever, I even made. I made it a point to personally tell the manager this. In Gainesville, i tried the meatloaf, and it is actually very, very good. If there’s one near you, between Tampa and Jacksonville, definitely need to give it a try.

First time eating here. The meatloaf was great, and the omelet that my sister had was stuffed full! Always to happy to find a place that serves breakfast all day

Wonderful atmosphere. I ordered shrimp and grits, flavor was good, just a little too much gravy for me, however, I am sure the College students would love it. The Southwestern breakfast bowl was also very good! Prompt service and delightful waitress! When we travel back through town we will definitely be back.

First time hear and the experience was nice. I ordered chicken n waffles this time w/ side of home fries and grilled onions. I didn’t realize it would be a half of chicken which included a breast, thigh, leg, and wing. Breast n thigh were overcooked and a little dry. Smaller pieces were better tasted more fresh. You’ll have to try sauce w/ chicken its great also waffles. Next time I’ll order smaller pieces or dark meat only. My potatoes weren’t anything to write home about. It was as though they heated them up and threw some onions on it. Next time I’ll order hash browns instead. My husband ordered shepherds pie and enjoyed every bite. He even placed another order in to go.
