I really liked coming here. Great authentic place. The service could have been better but they were definitely trying their best with only 3 employees. You can watch them make your food, we were at the West Shore Farmers Market where we watched one person prep all the ingredients, one person cook, and one person taking all the orders. We got the Empanadas and Taquitos. Everything we got was only $14 for the both of us and we couldn’t finish all of it. Both could have used more flavor, but that hot sauce is soooo good they top everything with the red sauce (it’s very spicy) but it made everything better. Overall, good food, and made me feel good eating local!

Given the high ratings, I expected more. Given 6 tacos and 2 sodas were $30, I really expected more. The tacos were ok. Steak was really dry/tough. Chicken was dry. That said, it has potential. The service was good and it is authentic. Just not as good as I wanted/expected…

Amazing food, great prices. Lots of choices you can’t find at the chain Mexican restaurants. My son has celiac disease and cannot eat gluten, or even food cross-contaminated with gluten. Not only do they have extensive gluten-free options, but their flour tortillas are made in a completely separate area from the main kitchen, so I don’t have to worry about him getting accidentally glutened. It’s great to have a place to go out to eat with my son, as we don’t have many options in the area where we can eat worry-free. I also love that they use paper containers and bags for take-out!!!

You can taste the freshness in every perfect bite! I haven’t been here for a while (pre-covid), and a lot of restaurants lower their standards over time. The quality of the ingredients, standards and service have only grown! Pippa has a way of combining flavors and textures that is astounding!!! I strongly recommend the quesadilla and use the cabbage and toppings! It’s crunchy and doesn’t get soggy!

Best tacos I have had outside of New Mexico and Arizona. I spent a total of seven years in both of those states and ate some delicious tacos. These tacos at mid st8 are outstanding! Every bit as good as any that I have had in the southwest, great job! I ordered the trio, pork, chicken, and steak, all amazing! I have had the sopas as well, I had to force myself to stop eating, also had to remember I was in public, I really wanted to stuff my face with tacos like I haven’t eaten in days! Just try for yourself!

I ordered the Taco Salad with steak to go, my bill was $14.84 (no drink – just the salad). I was handed a container that measured approx 5x3x3, it wasn’t even handed to me in a bag. Now the quality of the food was delicious, very fresh and was an interesting take on a taco salad. I requested not to have chips but asked for more lettuce. I was so disappointed because there was so much room on top. I would have been happier with a full container. Especially considering the price.

A racist figurine is part of the establishment’s main decorations. I let the owner know that it was incredibly offensive and she just shrugged it off and disregarded what I said. What a perfect example of cultural appropriation , making oneself benefit, make money off other people’s culture and labor while disregarding whatever little minimum human respect requested/required. I am Mexican, and cannot stand the sight of racist nostalgia decorations, such as the “lazy Mexican” figurine with big hat right by the cashier.

Food was ok, we tried the chorizo & jack empanada and animal nachos. The guacamole and pickled onions stood out but the rest was lacking flavor. It was pricey for the underwhelming experience.
