Possibly the worst meal for the price. 6 of us came here and ordered various items on the menu. Everything is drenched in butter or sauce hiding the actual food. The sides were boiled vegetables with zero flavor. The service was below average. Too scared to order dessert as we couldn’t eat the food. Then they claimed their credit card machine was down and wanted cash or Venmo. Very shady.

We were excited to get into Winslow’s ….. reservations fill up fast. This urban legend absolutely stood up to all the rumors. I am now ruined- Thanks to Winslow’s I can never ever have French onion soup anywhere else… their’s is the best!! The trout, filet mignon, corn, potatoes, wild rice, salads – were all 5✨’s. I can’t wait to come back.

The restaurant came highly recommended and we had dinner with a friend who had been there several times. The food was mediocre at best, the service was just normal but the kicker was that they didn’t have the asparagus that we ordered, the onion rings were burnt to a crisp and I cook much better filets at home. To top it off they claimed that they couldn’t take a credit card!

Was excited to try this place for a nice dining experience however was disappointed a little in the quality of food for the price. It was good food but for the price I was expecting it to be even better. The menu offers half and full orders for their meals and sides are not included. The sides are $12 each so I would expect them to be worth the price. We did receive some nice service however there was one waiter that was a bit tacky. Not sure if it was just an off night or not.

This is a family owned and operated restaurant. (Husband, Wife and Adult son) When I first looked at the menu, I thought it was a bit pricey – but when I left, my impression was that we got an excellent value. Once I enjoyed the food and tasted the quality ingredients, it was clear they were top-shelf and I wondered how they could serve some of the food for the prices they charge and still make a profit. Although our server could have been more attentive, the service provided by the owners more than compensated.

Moved to Franklin,NC a little over a year ago. While most of the restaurants in Franklin have decent food, they really aren’t what I would call a celebration type restaurant, but are instead more for casual dinning. I wanted someplace special to celebrate and ran across Winslow’s online. It looked good so, I thought it might be good to try. The atmosphere was very nice, cozy little restaurant that was quiet enough to hear each other talk. Staff was friendly and attentive without making us feel rushed. We had an enjoyable, relaxing, delicious round of appetizers (lump crab, shrimp, fried lobster tail) all of which were delicious. I had a crock of French onion soup which was also quite good. My wife had chicken Palermo which she loved (I sampled and agreed it was very good). I chose Crabmeat Owen which was awesome. I never was here before but will definitely return. Menu is a bit on the high priced side and would not be for budget conscious people unless for perhaps a once/year splurge, but I have to say it was worth the price. A bit of a ride from Franklin, but it was well worth it.

A cozy, quiet atmosphere for a nice dinner in Cashiers. The French onion soup was amazing and so was the crabmeat Owen I decided on for dinner. The corn sauté was really good too, recommended by our server. Everything was really tasty actually. My son loved their mac and cheese. The only “complaint” I have is that no one came to refill our water glasses. I guess they thought we were okay with just our cocktails? Lol but overall, I’d recommend this place.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! There was a slight mix up in the kitchen and our entrees came out before our salads, but the quality of the food and the service MORE than made up for it. It could happen to anyone, anywhere. The escargot is to die for! I’ll dream about it! I’ve you you’ve never had it and decide to try something outside of your comfort zone, you will not be disappointed! Steak was cooked perfectly, and dessert and fantastic. If you’re hesitant about going, don’t be. Totally worth it
