Wish you could leave zero stars…have gone a few times when working in Derider. Staff is rude, especially the cashier (maybe owner). Also have been told by a worker before while eating there not to order a certain item because it had been in the fridge for over a week!! The cashier (owner) snapped at her staff in front of customers, due to me asking what the price for a combo would be since it’s no listed…she didn’t even know and said it’s on the menu, but it’s not. So I questioned the price of my meal the when I went up to pay since it’s always different. She refused to even look at me, argued with me, when all I asked is why the price is a few dollars more than what the waitress had said. She rudely stated the price is on the menu…which it’s not when doing a combo. They charge .50 extra for anything…even water! Definitely will not ever be going back, crazy to think a small grilled cheese and small cup of soup with water is $12. Would not waste your money here.

Service sucks food is good. I learned just to get it to go one time I told them. I wanted my sandwich plain with just meat and cheese and they put mayo and mustard on it and told me I needed to pay for the sandwich and got mad when I refused and told me a plain sandwich means condiments go on it.

I’ve gotten to-go orders from here many times when I worked in DeRidder. I’ve never had an issue with the food, it’s always came as ordered, no mistakes, even with large, multi-person orders. The food tastes great and is made well with great quality cuts. Even the service was always with a smile.

Love the food! But always has hidden charges. This turns me off on wanting to eat there. There is always an extra 50 cent charge for everything that is not listed on menus. Now they add 50 cent for every person for paper goods / to-go items. Just adjust the meal prices enough to cover instead of always adding additional costs to meals. That’s why I am leaving 2 stars.

Wait time in this restaurant can be a bit long during peak hours. However Everything on the menu is homemade and worth the wait. As far as sit down restaurants….. hidden gems if you will…. this is one of our towns best kept secrets. If you’re passing through and get the opportunity to try it you will Not be disappointed.

Tried this place for the first time. Was not impressed. Food was good but expensive for two sandwiches and a kids frozen heated up pizza that was all served with potato chips & a small cookie. Paid $27.89. No prices on menu, which was a piece of paper that was hand written. Not sure if this was a change from their standard menu due to Covid-19, but not many choices on menu either. Service was extremely slow and not friendly to say the least. Had to ask for refills and a to go box several times. When they charged my credit card, they screwed up & charged someone else’s bill to my card. Then had to refund the balance. I would have liked to seen what my charges were before all of this happened because I really feel like I was overcharged on my bill. Probably will not be back.
