I have eaten here numerous times but the service has really changed a lot. We got a table for 6 adults and 1 baby really quickly. But then the girl taking out drink order said I am not your waitress. Okay then why are you taking my drink order and why are you confusing us? When we did finally get our waitress it seemed like she had way too many tables she was servicing. Our baby was fussing and that has nothing to do with the staff but the waiting time from our drink orders to when the waitress came by to take our food order was so long that by daughter took my grandson to the restroom because we had been waiting so long. Then the waitress comes while they are in the restroom! Then when they came back we had to wait some more. The entire experience took almost 2 hours and I don’t think I will be repeating it anytime soon. The food is still okay and affordable but the service just isn’t the same.

Our waiter was beyond attentive. However, he should probably look for work elsewhere. The food was bland, and unexciting. It looks great, but lacks taste. The atmosphere is kind of sad, like management quit caring a long time ago. In this city, there are far too many great Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants to be mediocre. I was terribly disappointed with everything except the waiter. My compliments to him. I thought for a second, he was management. I hope he reads this, because my advice would be to go find a place where his talent wouldn’t go to waste.

Overall a great experience. The rancheros are where it’s at. Our waiters did a good job for the most part. She did screw up my drink twice and they charged me for a refill on sweet tea. The floors were super slick and I almost busted more than once. I would definitely go back and give them another shot at it.

Me and my wife went there for lunch and we had cocktails guacamole and for lunch we had beef fajitas. The waitress took a long time to bring us our drinks, didn’t bring the guacamole until just moments before the lunch arrived. The beef fajitas had absolutely zero seasoning on them it had absolutely no flavor to them at all, and only had a very small amount of bell peppers and a ton of onions. The waitress never came back to ask how the food tastes and was just coming by sweeping up looking like she was just ready to go. When I gave her the bill I explained to her that the food had absolutely no flavor and that she was very late bringing my guacamole, she didn’t even acknowledge me she didn’t apologize she just grabbed the bill and charged me and brought it back for me to sign. The service was horrible the food was tasteless the atmosphere was just barely okay in my thoughts could be updated much better than what it is now, don’t waste your time on this place go somewhere else for Tex-Mex. The bill was almost $90, and I’ve gone to other Tex Mex places and have the same items and believe me tasted far better and spent $65 so they are also overpriced.

Great texmex restaurant. This was my first time visiting El Jimador, even though I live in that area, and everyone there was so sweet to us. My daughter had her birthday dinner there, and our server had all the employees there sing Happy birthday to my daughter and even gave her a surprise birthday dessert! I had the sour cream enchiladas plate, and their refried beans had a spicery kick outta nowhere, which was amazing EVEN for me. Our party guests and I had many questions about their menu items, which all the servers there patiently answered, and they never tired of answering or many questions!

Will give a solid 3.6. Had the Chimichanga Supreme. The meat just didn’t taste right to me. The guacamole is okay. Salsaand chips okay. The waiter was nice and attentive. Waitress had an attitude after being seated. Like she was ready to go sit back down by door. It was really slow when i arrived. They only do military discount on Thrusday. Probably would not go back as many other options around.

We had a not so good experience a couple of years ago here, but for Cinco de Mayo, we decided to try them again. I’m so glad we did. The salsa was good enough that we bought a large one to take home. The molcajete was excellent! The margaritas were spot on and our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive!
