I came in after seeing a happy hour sign and loved the place. It seems to be a quieter side of a bar and it’s great. Good cocktails also and very much Japanese themed. The prices were fair for Manhattan, and happy hour prices were even better.

Great cocktails, but limited and pricey food menu. Decent happy hour from 5:30-7: select cocktails for $12, all wine for $8, and all beer for $5. Music is good.

This was bar/restaurant is amazing. My first time in NYC, and I’ve come back here twice. I’d be back a 3rd time if I had time to come back, and will definitely be here again. The bartender, Gus, is personable and makes amazing cocktails. The chef, Josh, made some of the most amazing chicken and skirt steak I’ve ever had and brought me some sushi they was creating that was out of this world. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Only open since April, 2022, so do yourself a favor and go here if you’re in the city!

Great find for our happy hour after work! $10 cocktails and $8 wines, almost unthinkable prices in nyc. Hapoy hour is from 5:30 to 7pm, we went on a Thursday and you can pick any cocktails from the list which were all made to order and very delicious. Will be going back soon!

think they need some bad reviews. my friend and i went after a long day hoping for some good sushi and drinks to just relax. it was all good until the people seated next to us started fully making out and might i add, very handsy, and we realised the place was half empty but they sat us right next to other customers when we really would’ve appreciated enjoying our meal in peace. second of all, the food was mediocre at best, we had the crab sushi which looked so unappetising and the steak with potatoes that tasted good by themselves but didnt work together at all. and then the drinks, we thought to ourselves, hey you come to a pretty place like this for the atmosphere and mostly their drinks, the foods not the most important, but oh lord their cocktails… im no expert but i can tell when the flavours dont work together. and finally, we asked for the bill and the server proceeds to come over and basically yell out “YOURE CARD DIDNT GO THROUGH” im quite certain the whole place heard. cheaper and less ‘boujee’ places have had the decency to quietly let the card owner know this and try again or use a different card, im sorry i just dont keep a lot of money in the card i use daily for safety reasons. i felt disgust and judgment from the server as if we couldnt pay for our meal.

Was walking down 28th and stumbled apon this place. The outside of this place is tranquil and appealing. Come to find out it was their grand opening. I was a bit surprised that it was a Japanese tapas spot because I’ve never been but it was perfect (the portions are a good size). The food and drinks were soo delicious. Theda was very knowledgeable about the menu and picked out her favorites for me which I’m grateful for. Definitely coming back.

Great vibe! I recommend coming here for a date night or with friends. I wasn’t wowed by the food or drinks, but the atmosphere is worth it!

Been waiting for GG to open, interesting location and seemed like a speakeasy in the Park Hotel. Old school hip hop when you walk in, the venue takes you to a dimly lit space with a long bar and unique cocktails. Service was excellent; our waitress was very attentive and had great suggestions. The prix fixe is a great deal and you get to try many things off the menu. Scallops were fantastic and the steak was very flavorful. Had mostly cooked Japanese food and it’s definitely worth revisiting.

I really wanted to like this place. The restaurant is stunning, but the food is not it. The skirt steak was so chewy. I literally chewed until my jaw hurt and ended up having to spit it out. It wasn’t even about lack of flavor, but just almost inedible. For $30 this was pretty disappointing. The dumpling and tofu were fine. The sushi rolls were also just super bland. I don’t think the rice was seasoned at all. And while the waitstaff was really kind, we came at 6:30 and weren’t told only certain drinks were happy hour until after we ordered our first round, then our waitress didn’t come back until 7:05 and didn’t offer to honor happy hour prices for the drinks that were included. Definitely was not the experience I expected for a $200 dinner.
