My New Joint 420 Lounge is located above the Square Grouper Bar and Grill. My New Joint is a Lounge that has a raw bar featuring fresh shucked and grilled oysters, stone crab claws (Oct 15-May 15) and peel and eat shrimp. Happy hour is from 4:20-6:30 daily featuring $6 well drinks. We offer 16 draft beers and 150 canned and bottled beers. Our wine list offers many wines by the glass as well as half bottle options. We have live music nightly. Our kitchen is open from 4:20-10 pm with lots of sharing plates, sandwiches and dinners. We have table shuffleboard, too! Come on in and enjoy yourselves!

Great place. I prefer over Square Grouper on theain level due to typically no wait, and yet decent food although less variety than the Square. Nice appetizers, drinks, and limited main courses, but everything is quality a delicious. Never been disappointed. Great deserts, I recommend the Magic Bar. The cheese flight was generous compared to most. Always cheerful atmosphere and service.

Went here with family and had terrible service. Not for tourist. Rude staff from wait staff to bartender. Cocktails were below average, nothing special for the price. My drink was all juice barely any vodka. Would not recommend to anyone with kids or family. Consider going else where. Parking lot is a nightmare as well.

The square grouper is our favorite restaurant in the Florida Keys. The clean, modern, nautical theme is unmatched. The food and service is top notch. Downstairs is the more traditional dining area and upstairs is also a dining area but with also a large bar to sit at and live music.

I had a great waiter Traci who was very attentive and fast with serving our food, she was tipped very well. Chris the bartender was rude, unprofessional, and just a flat out jerk. He got mad cause we didn’t tip the 1st drink cause we waited over 30mins and watched him serve other people their drinks that ordered after us. when we went back to purchase more drinks, he refused to serve us. Said he doesn’t work for free. His exact words were “why didn’t you tip me the last time? You’re going to have to find another server to make your drinks” we were such is shock that he said that. When we wanted management to help us out, he sided with the server and said that’s how it is in the keys. Again, left in shock. Idk who trains these people but they’re not doing it right. If you don’t get a tip it’s cause your service sucked. The owners response to our review said we sounded entitled. This time I’m not shocked but glad everyone else can see the type of people you’re gonna deal with.

Ok, I waited until my second visit to give my opinion. I have not much else to say other than THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST FOOD IN THE REGION. PERIOD. Over priced, very rude, small serving sizes, and watered down drinks that are over filled with ice. Do not waste your money at “my new joint”. There are better places in the keys than this restaurant which are more friendly and better bank for your buck. As a proud conch I am super disappointed in this restaurant.
