I stopped here for lunch around noon on a Tuesday afternoon and there were a lot of tables open. I was told to sit anywhere, and I picked a booth. This place is small and old. It could use an update; it was showing signs of wear. The menu is not that large, but good choices for most.

Gives you such a cute little home cooking dinner feeling. The booths were all dirty, maybe they cleaned the tops but the crumbs were all over the seats. We had to get up to get creamer, and refills no one came back to check on us. The food was good but there service made it hard to enjoy. My first time there, it was a Saturday and it wasn’t busy which was nice! Makes the fact service wasn’t great a little more disappointing.

Sure hope it’s stayed true to it’s roots. Haven’t been there for a while. Had the best biscuits and gravy, served late. It was my Sunday morning favorite place. I’d get 2 full orders to go, grab the Sunday paper, go home, make coffee ☕ and we’d have breakfast in bed trading sections of the paper.

Hadn’t been back in about 9 years after a very bad experience with their being hair in my pregnant wife’s food and the manager saying that it was probably her own hair and being incredibly rude. Went this past Saturday morning with some friends and while nothing like that happened, my potatoes were burnt and the rest of the food was OK at best. Then I got some food to go for my wife and daughter at home and they didn’t include their bread. It’s just really not a well run place and it’s a shame because I live about 3 minutes away.

Everything about this visit was horrendous! I do not know the name of the waitress we had but she was slender, had black glasses and she was very rude to my family and I. The potatoes were soaking in so much grease that a miniature wet floor sign should have been added. The roof was leaking and there was several flies! If the health inspector were to pay a pop up visit they would have been penalized. I felt very uncomfortable there, it was not my choice to eat there but my family’s. They also had a unpleasant experience.

This was a great place at one time. Now it’s horrible, 2 eggs, toast, meat OR potatoes (yes, you read that right) and no drink for over $8. The decor is old, ripped or ceiling water damaged. Sad to see a great place on its last leg!

The worse breakfast I’ve ever had eggs not done sausage had no flavor hash browns were so greasey with no flavor and the coffee was so old wasn’t fresh at all. It’s a wonder they are still open. The rain was coming thorough the ceiling and a roach was running across the wall never again will I eat there again!!!

What an amazingly hidden Gem City establishment. The friendly staff are so courteous and helpful with satisfying the patrons hunger needs. This is a cozy relaxed atmosphere eatery with a great selection of home cooking to choose from. The food has amazing flavor served at just the right temperatures. I highly recommend Holly’s Club sandwich, fries, and sweet tea.

So many times over the years we’ve driven past Holly’s and said we’ll stop here some day. We finally did and will definitely be back as often as possible! The food is so delicious and satisfying. Such a quaint, inviting diner! Now we know why it’s been here for so many decades!
