We sat in this restaurant for 2 hours, the first hour we waited for our food. The second hour we waited for our check. The kitchen is incredibly slow, then on top of it if you have a table more than 2 people the wait staff cannot comprehend how to separate checks. We experienced the wait staff and other customers getting in a verbal fight across the room because of how long dinner took for other customers. I do not recommend and I cannot believe they have a 4.5 star rating on google.

I’m a local, I often can’t get comfy at home and get a room at a local hotel, I choose arrowood this time thinking it’d be a good choice with Minervas, pool, and hot tub. Paid a arm and a leg for one night 190 dollars, then thought I’d go to get a steak before they close. The help was not friendly, nor happy to be there, ordered a bloody mary couldn’t get that as they had no mix. The menu is horrible now, one steak on the entire menu, a 10 Oz at that. Sides suck, I know that there’s only one place around that can cook a steak right and that’s at the south end of spencer, so I ordered my steak med. Well thinking atleast it’d be done, it was rare. Another 40 bucks down the drain. Not sure how these places in the lakes get rated as high end food joints or who the heck is rating them, because they ALL SUCK and none can make a steak! Period. It’s ridiculous.

The facility is very clean. I stayed at the hotel for a conference and was there Sunday-Friday. The restaurant is wasn’t open Sunday or Monday. I ate dinner there each night and the food was good. Tuesday was a pasta bar/buffet/hibachi for $18. I got the house pasta another night as well. I ordered “add shrimp for $4” and got 3 shrimp. Not worth it. While I was there the beer I ordered was very flat, but they received my complaint and switched the keg. Overall the service was great. The prices are a little steep for the quality of food, but not horrible. Domestic draft beer was only $4.

Five star prices with three star food. The service is decent, but not stellar. I ordered a seasonal beer and was told the menu was outdated and was not available. The waiter stated they had Blue Moon, which I love. I tasted the beer, and it was actually the seasonal beer and not blue moon. The seafood Mac and cheese was really good, but not worth $24. My daughter had the 10 oz ribeye for $33, but it was so peppery that I had to scrape the pepper off it so she could eat it. I ordered the Minerva Pain Killer drink, it was weird. The drink menu did not list ingredients, but it was listed as one of their specialties. It tasted like grapefruit and Vodka, but there was a lot of raw cinnamon on the top of the drink. The waiter seemed apathetic and told is there was a shortage of cooks before we ordered.

Chopped salad was NOT chopped… at all. It took me minutes to cut it up enough to eat. We won’t talk about all the lost salad that fell off my plate during said chopping. It was my main meal so the waiter suggested adding a protein. I went with chicken… when it arrived it had some sort of salami in it already and the chicken breast was hot. Overall a meh salad.
