i don’t know why they call them that, they aint hard at all to drink, it’s easy just pick er up and tilt yur head backards, just don’t fall off the stool.

Barbara is doing her best to keep this landmark spot gasping for its last breaths. Once a thriving hot spot, this is not a place for a germaphobe. Lots of the old charm has fallen into disrepair, but after 30 years and the death of her husband, Barbara is committed to being a good hostess and answers our questions with a smile.

This was our second visit. Our server on our first visit was much more attentive and caring, although our steaks were cooked wrong and we waited a long time to get our food. This time we put our name on the waiting list and sat at the bar for a drink. After a 30 minute wait, they tried to skip us and give our table to someone else. We spoke up and got our table. 20 minutes later our server finally took our order. 30 minutes later I finally got our servers attention to ask where my drink was that I ordered. 15 minutes later we asked if we could get our salads and 40 minutes later they brought our steaks. They where both cooked wrong. Our server never asked how our food was until after she brought the check. By then we just wanted to leave. The only highlight of the night was they had great live entertainment. Not sure I would go back, but I might find where the entertainers perform to see them again.

For an expensive steakhouse they really cut down on help, cheap table service, and a clean place. They have been in business long enough to know how to wait on their customers. We were a table of 7, and non of us will not return.

Filet was not cooked to order, didn’t send back since it was a bday celebration. Good service still. Like now they don’t serve the butter hard as a rock, maybe it was just a hot day and it was soft but much better soft to serve on their warm delicious bread. pretty good time. Always luv they have some music there too!!

Was recommended this place as good, the salads were great the baked potatoe was good, but my girlfriend steak came out medium well when ordered medium rare, they made a second and it came out rare to medium rare but they used the worst piece of tough meat with no marbling and hard seared it so the outside was almost burnt. Then they would not take it off the bill cause the owners won’t let them, they did comp 3 beers so 13 dollars off a $40 steak. The actual server Billie was very nice and apologetic, but they obviously do not care about standards, as I guess there was an incident where the head chef quit. As a butcher and a chef this was abhorrent.

Cute place, my husband ordered filet mignon and i ordered the new york steak. We ended up switching because i didn’t care for the New York steak (not much flavor) and my husband’s filet mignon was sooo good. Potato did not have enough fillings. I ended up leaving more than half of it.
