This was my first experience with authentic Korean food and I LOVED IT. I found the food to be a bit on the higher side but it was a mom and pop store and very authentic. After the meal, the give you a nice watermelon slice. I have tried the cold noodles and the black bean noodles. My only complaint is that there is not much meat in the meals.

We arrived at Nagwon Garden on a Saturday afternoon; we were the only people there the entire time. As other reviews have said already this is a mom-and-pop operation. The menu is extensive but if you are interested in Korean BBQ the first page is where you’ll want to stop. We chose beef and spicy pork for our BBQ. For appetizers we ordered the highly recommended seafood pancake as well as the dumplings.

One of the best Korean seafood and green onion pancake I had in years, they used fresh ingredients and were perfectly cooked, it was delicious! Fish stew was also very tasty, cozy atmosphere and very friendly staffs. Only thing was little bit too smoky when they BBQ indoors, so I suggest not dressing up in expensive attire, so you don’t go home smelling like BBQ. wear comfortable clothing. Came back for kimchi stew and vegetables / beef hot stone fried rice, it was very filling and delicious.

The best Korean bbq in Philly so far! They use charcoal instead of gas and the meat tastes absolutely AMAZING!!! The prices are great! And it’s totally worth it.

Literal Mom&Pop shop (woman runs the entire front operation; man seems to run the back by himself) with authentic Korean food.

Hubby, MIL, our 10 mo old daughter, and I dined there tonight for our first time. We were kindly greeted by a soft spoken, sweet Asian elder and seated. We ordered: Mandu, Japchae, Dolsot Bibimbap, and Shrimp & Veggie tempura (can’t remember the Korean name for the dish). The dishes along with the bonchon (side dishes) were all delicious!!! We enjoyed every bite, and had plenty of food, that we brought left-overs home. Some of the dine-in guests were enjoying the table bbq (we’ll try that next time; It was MIL’s first time having Korean food so I opted for dishes to share). Place is clean. Food was nice, large serving sizes and yummy! Definitely recommend trying them! We will be back!

I Uber eats from here and get the galbi every time. Food is usually good but tonight’s galbi just wasn’t there. The flavor was there but a cheaper cut was used for the meat, making it extremely chewy. Asked for lettuce, ssamjang, and garlic and wasn’t provided. The wooden chopsticks that comes in the white paper wrapper had mold on the tip. Very disappointed, money could’ve been spent elsewhere.
