Food was great! It’s hard to find a good fish and chips but they sure do it right at Carlins. The house wings were great too! Place was very clean and the waiting staff was super friendly. Will definitely stop here again the next time I am in town .

I went to this restaurant because when Ft. devens was a base, I drank there in 1982-84. Much nicer, redone. Great staff, ladies friendly. Great food and presented stylishly but not expensive. Thanks for nostalgia!

Visited on 5/18 around 8pm. The food was the best part. They seemed a little understaffed, but our waiter was friendly and as attentive as he could be. Our first bartender was kind, but the bartender who replaced her made a rude comment to her other customers about my laugh (???) I guess I was being too loud for a bar at 9pm. I most likely will not be returning, which is too bad considering all the other positive reviews. I wanted to like this place!

Coming from a rundown dive history, current owners have cleaned it up entirely, gotten a solid cook, added a great rotation of beers and overall turned the place into a fun, enjoyable place to hang out with friends and family (table games abound, a nice touch for both kids and adults). The combo of food and drinks quality is excellent, service is great too – thank you Bill (?)! Keep going back, haven’t been disappointed ever!!!

Best burgers and sandwiches around. Best BLT I’ve ever had. This place is a diamond in the rough. It’s small and looks a bit divey, but don’t be deceived…the food is incredible and they have a fantastic, rotating beer list. The Parmesan fries are skinny and they give you so many. They have table games, too!

Gorgeous selection of draft beers. Very friendly owner and staff. I visited for my birthday and was presented a huge bowl of ice cream with a lit candle and was sung to by the staff and the whole bar. None of this was asked for which made it an extra special memory for me. Thank you so much Carlins!!!

Great bartenders and staff. Cozy atmosphere of a lil home town tavern. Food is always great and the drinks can get creative. There are new dart boards and a pool table. A good place to meet up with friends and hang out. Conveniently located right at the train station.

Amazing apps at a private event today. The owner and staff were so attentive and the buffet of apps was plentiful and delicious. I would highly recommend this place for an event, they make everything themselves so fresh. If you are In the area and have a chance you have to try the steak and cheese eggrolls! They are amazing! A hidden gem for sure!
