Great brisket sandwich. Meat was moist and Smokey. Didn’t need sauce but I’m a condiment junkie. Sweet sauce was like none that I could compare it to. my buddy said best hamburger she has had in NC, this burger was topped with brisket. As you can see in the pictures it is piled high. Ya sure get your money’s worth. Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly and the food came quicker than I expected. Clean place and the prices were unexpectedly very reasonable. Gonna try the pork next trip. You can’t go wrong by stopping here!

Came in for lunch today for the first time. Everything was delicious. I ordered the pulled pork plate with hushpuppies, white mayo slaw, fried okra with a side of ranch, and an ice cold fountain Sundrop. Any place that serves delicious food AND fountain Sundrop products will always get my business. The food was very fresh. The white slaw reminded me of the slaw my elementary school cafeteria used to serve — and that’s a compliment! It was easily my favorite part of the meal. We will be repeat customers.

Best barbecue and brisket in the area! An amazing family oriented environment with a perfect home-style aesthetic. We love making a trip from Charlotte to mount pleasant for this bbq. The wait staff is so pleasant and the owner even took the time to check on us during our lunch. There are also so many options and the prices are beyond reasonable. We have marked this spot as one of our favorite places to take friends and family!

Working in the area and decided to stop here for lunch. Walked in and the sign read, “please seat yourself,” so I did. I sat there for at least 5-6 minutes. Only saw 2 servers. No one spoke to me while other diners were being served. One server went to a terminal to enter orders while talking on her phone. When she finished, she turned around and just looked at me & went to another table. Apparently, you have to be a local to receive service. So, I left and went to Cantina 73 where I was immediately greeted as I walked in & seated and received prompt & professional service. Bottom line: I will never return to the Smokehouse. Having managed a restaurant for 7 years, the first thing you do is speak to your customers & briefly explain that you will be back directly to take care of them. I would have stayed if that had been my experience. Good luck with your restaurant because you can’t keep a business going based on that type of service.

Saturday 7/2/2022 Stopped here for dinner. I ordered the full rack of ribs, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and hush puppies. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious!! I was very impressed how good they were. I’ve been to Memphis Tennessee and had some of the best ribs in the US. These ribs were very good!

First time in here since they renovated it. Lovely job. Beautiful inside! You should change the exterior to draw in people who may think that it is still the old place! Reasonable prices and friendly service. Portions aren’t very big (small but tall!), but in today’s world, that seems more and more normal. I ordered The McCorkle. $11. Melted white American cheese, topped with sliced brisket of your choice, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Meat and cheese only on mine and they were happy to make the bacon crispy and the brisket lean. It was far above par! i’d recommend going and trying a few things. It is WAY better than the old restaurant.

This place is great and consistent, which is important in a restaurant. Every time we order we always have leftovers that don’t go to waste! Ribs are amazing, chicken is smoked to perfection and the hushpuppies are the right crispy outside. Our go-to when we don’t want to cook .

Had to stop. Was told some years back this is a must goto for true barbecue fans. And I was not disappointed. The he aroma when I got here was amazing that pit fired smokehouse smell was just mouthwatering. Stephanie took my order of ribs, pork, brisket baked beans and fried okra for a dinner feast fit for anyone who yearns for that true smokehouse taste. You do not want to miss stopping and dining in or taking it to go. Just realize if you take it to go you will probably you will never make it home without at least hitting the hush puppies. Oh my!!
