Top notch biryani! They call them selves Biryani Citi for a reason – it is their specialty! We had the Biryani with panir – yum. We also enjoyed the chefs special and a few other dishes I couldn’t pronounce.

This place is nice for having Indian style masala food. Boneless chicken Biryani is the best with medium spicy. There are veg and non veg starters. All the menus have an average range of 12-15 excluding tax. 15 min drive from Congressional Lane

Driving from Washington D.C to Jersey and found this Indian restaurant, made a stop here to have dinner and these guys removed all the tables and chairs and we couldn’t dine in. Looks good and food tastes good. We had chicken dum and boneless biryani. Tried chicken haleem and it was just okay.

A regular spot I use for takeout! The food is always delicious and I am enjoying each new dish I ordered. Today, I was under the weather. Indian food is great for gut health, especially when you’re sick. The fresh spices worked, and I am feeling much better already! Thank you biryani city team

Update 6/22: I ordered a dosa and Chana masala again to see if things would be any better this second time around. Unfortunately, they were the same. The dosa was burnt and I couldn’t eat most of it because it was hard and flaky. The chana masala tasted ok overall but I got more sauce than chickpeas. Disappointed bc the dosa sauces are so good but I won’t be ordering from here again. Maybe the other dishes are better but I would suggest avoiding their dosas.

We are from New York and a year ago we had been to Virginia, on our way back we bought biryani from this place and we really liked the taste, flavor and the quantity. This time we were in DC for cherry blossom and we bought the biryanis again. If you are looking for best biryanis, just stop here!

I can’t say enough about this place! Our order was delicious but more so the service was amazing. The man that prepared my order kindly offered me a drink while I waited since I got their early. And that was the best mango lasse I’ve ever had, so delicious! He also noticed I had trouble deciding what to order for my toddlers while on the phone. So he threw in some sambas on the house for the kids. I wish we discovered Biryani City sooner but we will be back for sure! Highly recommend the Tikka Masala!

Probably the best biryani in the Nova-DC-MD region! Various spice levels. We normally get the goat in mild, spicy, and extra spicy and each of us loves our versions. Beware – extra spicy means it is EXTRA SPICY! The mango lassi standard fare. The staff is very friendly

Absolutely delicious goat biryani. Why would I even consider ordering anywhere else? It’s another $1 for the two traditional accompaniments, but my goodness is it worth it. It turns out if you order the dish the restaurant chooses to name itself after, it can be pretty good?
