“Upscale food court” is the best description of this eatery above the downtown Kroger on the Rhine. This was my second visit to grab a healthy meal and was not disappointed with the 1883 Cafe. Other choices included a burger place and noodle place, a few others that I can’t remember. It’s the fresh greens that attracted me to this stall.

Got noodles and rice dish from Dope in the On the Rhine eatery – a more upscale food court. The dishes were tasty but Luke warm. Service was friendly. However, If I had known that it was in the food court setting I might not have gone.

Just a bad taste after today. I waited more than 10 minutes before asking where my food was. I watched at least 5 people order after me and get their food first.

Really nice food court located on the second floor above Kroger on the Rhine. I got food to-go from Decibel (terrific chicken tenders) and DOPE! (incredible pot stickers). I can’t wait to stop back again very soon.

Good most of the time, but there is an employee there who closes the main eatery (the middle one) at 6 pm or earlier, even though they’re supposed to be open until 7. The employee is white male darker hair, late 20’s or 30’s with glasses. One time I arrived at 5:30 pm and he was behind the front counter and I asked for a meal, and he said we’re closed. At 5:30! And then left and refused to serve me.
