The “USDA PRIME” Blue Ribbon Special
At Cattlemen’s Steakhouse, we are constantly searching for the finest beef to provide our guests “The Perfect Steak”. From time to time, we are able to obtain a limited supply of USDA Prime beef, which is less than 2% of all cattle raised. Limited supply means it is very difficult, and a little more expensive, to obtain.

In an old-school diner, brown-red booths and teal, Yellow tiles underfoot, memories to reveal, Seated at the counter, like days of the past, Servers bustling nearby, memories they amass.

I was on my way driving through Oklahoma and read a little bit about this place. I decided to stop by and try it out. I ordered the t-bone lunch special. It was amazing. I am so glad I made this my only stop in Oklahoma as it was well worth it. If I ever find myself in Oklahoma again, this is a must, the steak was cooked to perfection and the coconut dessert was great too.

Cattlemen’s Steakhouse is iconic. We were not disappointed. The top sirloin was cooked to perfection. Don’t forget the croutons with the house salad! They are wonderful together. Our wait was shorter than anticipated, and the service was attentive. Great visit!

I’m upset because I was trying to decide between the dinner steak and chicken fried steak. The waiter said they make one of the best or great chicken fried steak and it is huge. For some reason visiting Oklahoma I kept thinking chicken fried steak I think from watched a food show years ago. Anyway, mashed potatoes were recommend with it. The other guys at my table all got steaks with baked potatoes and it all looked delicious and they loved it. When my came out I knew it would be lousy. I was hoping for it to at least taste good but it didn’t. It was horrible and even grisly in a couple bites. There was no taste but a very faint one of steak. It didn’t chew right and the breading fell off and I didn’t even finish it. It had gravy on the side of it but the mashed potatoes had the same gravy. All I wanted was to experience a nice steak dinner at a cool know place by Guy Fiera and Adam Richmond and enjoy myself while traveling but instead I didn’t have a great meal there and it is probably the first and last time I’ll have a change to eat there. DO NOT GET ANYTHING BUT ACTUAL STEAK THERE. THE CHICKEN FRIED STEAK IS TERRIBLE. I left with my favorite things being the salad and bread muffins and didn’t even get a good steak dinner experience as Cattleman’s is known for.

Food was average. Baked potato was plain. Rolls were decent. Nothing special about the steak. The service was not that great, I shouldn’t have to ask for items that should be offered. For example, the waitress asked us to cut the steak to see if the inside looked good and walked away. I had to catch her at the barstool area and request she comes back so that I could ask for steak sauce. Then proceeds to bring out a baked potato and did not ask if we wanted chives or extra add-ons. This place is a Waffle House that’s named as a Steakhouse. Between that and the 3-5 flies we were constantly swatting away was annoying. This place is over rated and the food lacked flavor. The manager walked by several time and didn’t greet or speak to any customers either. Took the rest home for my dog.

Loved Cattlemen’s Steak house. Have heard about and researched it. It did not disappoint. Steaks done the way they are meant yo be. No frills. Let the steak speak for itself. I had a Blue Ribbon New York Strip, medium. Perfection. Of note, get the Coconut Cream Pie. I would crawl over my own mother for a piece.

5 Stars, What a fantastic experience this original old School steak house had to offer. Excellent service, great steaks cooked perfectly as ordered. Loved the mac and cheese, the Lamb fries were very tasty…. The house Salad and dressing was very good, with its house made sliced bread sized curutons.

Tried out Cattlemans on a short day trip to OKC after reading about how Oklahoma Famous it was. It’s been around for over 100 years and I can see why!
