I love deep dish pizza and I love tavern style pizza. Marisa’s pizza is somewhere in between. I ordered a large sausage pizza and requested the pizza to be sliced like a pie. What I ended up with is a pizza similar to New York style pizza except Marisa’s pizza wasn’t as soggy as New York style pizza. Overall, I think that it is a great pizza. I enjoyed the thickness of the crust and the cheese wasn’t greasy. I noticed that they also sell pizza by the slice and they do not just sell them during lunch hours. My entire family enjoyed the pizza so we will definitely order from Marisa’s again.

Every Thursday we have a Italian beef day with my friends and the only place that satisfies our craving is Marisa’s! We have gone here for over 15 years now and love it! Italian beef special garlic bread with cheese and hot peppers is amazing. It beats most of the others Italian beefs out there!

Personally I think its best pizza joint around me. There are many little wonders of pizza places in the Chicagoland area. Marisa’s does nothing of the short when it comes to capturing the true vibe of a traditional pizza joint. Along with authentic food you cannot recreate a more wholesome place to grab a slice after working a hard day.

Lunch time quick stop. Best to get here before 12Noon, or there will be slim pickings. I frequent enough to know that the counter set-up can get hectic, the service is moderate and pizza is good at best for the location.

We live around the corner and this place is go-to for pizza. A little pricey, but damned if I don’t house an entire XL with just 2 adults eating out of a legit inability to control my need for another mouthwatering slice. Usually go Hawaiian or something with Italian sausage which is 10/10 on flavor. Their Pan/Deep dish is also a knockout. Didn’t know they crushed Italian Beef too, so that will be my next foray.
